Greetings Worshipping Warrior!

 I have just returned from the most wonderful trip to France and Switzerland. God is so good! The trip had a mixture of just spending time with good friends, ministering powerfully at conferences and workshops and meeting significant new leaders in the area of movement in worship.

Three of my engagements were invitations form charismatic Catholics to participate in broad Body of Christ events- a thousand people at one conference and 40 people each at two workshops. I was also able to spend time one-on-one in very small groups with wonderful, passionate young people who are convinced that "there has to be more than this."

I'm really enjoying a transition from mostly teaching people with some relationship building, to mostly relationship building and some teaching. I have also started down the road to begin blogging, which will allow me to interact more consistently and keep the fires burning more easily across six continents (I have yet to make contacts in Antarctica).   :-) 

In this newsletter we are inviting you to become part of the Global Banner Project, to share what God is doing globally with banners in strategic locations around the world. So search your archives or go out and shoot some pictures of banners in places that are important to you.

To be really effective as banner wielders within the Kingdom I continue to believe it is important for us to understand how flags are used outside the Christian context. In this newsletter we have a story about an anarchist I met when I was in Lyon.  

We also have some wonderful stories about how people have been healed from Pam in Townsville, Australia.

As you can see from the header, we need more orders to come in so that we can retain our discount status with Australia Post, so if you've been thinking of ordering a banner from us, this would be a strategic time for you to do so.

In the next month I'm looking forward to traveling within Australia and prepping for a trip to Nigeria. We are now taking bookings for 2012. Please let us know if you would like us to come.

Global Banner Photo Project 

Artistic Banner Photos

We would like to offer you an opportunity to be part of a global artistic banner project to display the diversity and creativity that God is unleashing across the globe through banners.  The images can be dramatic, fun, creative, powerful, unique, beautiful, interesting, clever - basically God's and your creativity combined!

The aim is to create photographic art that shows how banners can be used prophetically in different nations around the globe.  Our dream is to create a growing gallery that shows where Out of Our Minds Banners are being used to shift atmospheres over people and nations around the world. The banner can be one of our standard range or custom banner OOOMB has created for you. 

The themes linking the images together in the online gallery will be "Everyday People Changing the Atmosphere over Nations". The images will be displayed on our website and, at some point in the future, images will be selected for their artistic and prophetic impact for publication in the OOOMB newsletter or to produce products like a calendar, cards or a poster.

To stimulate your creative juices, we will randomly draw a name out of every 20 participants (who meet the criteria) and give them a free banner

To Participate

Pray and ask Yahweh Rophe (The Lord Creator) to lead you in where and how he wants you to photograph the use of banners.  Be free and let His creativity flow.

The location could be an icon of the nation, like the Eiffel Tower, France or Tiananmen Square, China; an icon of your region; or simply a location that is special to you.  It can be in your hometown, your nation or anywhere else on the surface of the planet.  

The image must speak and convey a prophetic message - It should not just be a "tourist shot" for example, of someone holding a banner in front of the Eiffel Tower, but someone prophesying with a banner over or from the tower.

It can be very simple or amazingly complex! You may want to invite a photographer to capture the scene for you.  

The images can be Photoshopped! 

After your photographic venture, select the best image(s) and send them to us.

Each image needs to be high quality and as large as possible, i.e. 2 to 10 megabytes (in case it is chosen to be printed).  

Send us an electronic copy of the image using www.yousendit.com to david@worshipbanners.org.  

Simultaneously, so that we can properly attribute your work, send us an e-mail in which you:

1. give your photo a title

2. write a brief description of the essence of what you felt the

4. the location and

5. if there are people in the shot, the names of the people.

If you live in Jordan, Iraq, Qatar or other nations where your name or even your face would be better not shown, then take this into account when framing your shot and provide a pseudonym.

Banners outside the Christian context

Anarchism

To more fully understand the light, it is sometimes important to know what the darkness is up to. Therefore we continue our series of how banners are being used outside the Christian context. 

When I was in Lyon I met this intense young man at the railway station. I was drawn to his armband, which had a figure of a man carrying a banner with the words "Live Free or Die." 

He called it the Black Flag, designed to represents the absence of a national flag.

The group he belongs to is against all national borders and the concept of sovereign nation states. It is a sign of their rejection of a sovereign state that can control its people.

The black flag and the color black had been associated with the anarchists since the 1880's and is in deliberate contrast to most colorful national flags.

As a white flag is a universal symbol of surrender, the black flag is a symbol of defiance and opposition to surrender.

There is also a link between anarchism and piracy. We will talk about the Jolly Roger in a future edition.

Movement in Worship coming to the US 

Our friends Andy Au and Kirsti Hallet of Movement in Worship in the UK are going to be in the
United States in July. They are conducting a two-day workshop in Columbus, Mississippi on July 22-23. Click here for more information.
