We are experiencing an awakening in Norway. We are aware that God is gathering His people from different parts of Christianity. In June, during four days of a conference in Oslo, 635 people in the streets were led to give their lives to Jesus.This summer has been a special banner-summer to us. We were invited by Swedish Oas to have seminars about banners. We raised His banner in Visby, a city on Gotland, in the Swedish east. Also on a rough and windy mountain pass north of the Arctic Circle in Norway, we proclaimed His Victory over The North.On Oas the seminars were divided in two, a theoretical part with the Biblical foundation, and a practical part. In total 25 people participated; most of them had no experience before. We were glad to see that five men participated. We had a special rod (staff) element only for men. It was important for us to equip and inspire participants to use banners.
During some meetings we danced with rods. One evening we attended with banners at the square in the town. The conference had a concert with an appeal. Over 13.000 people were present. On the outskirts of the crowd, we had to endure some blasphemy words from young people. We felt that it cost to confess Jesus' name, but we also knew the joy and pride by standing under the banners.
At midnight, on our way back to the hotel with our banners on our shoulders, two youth gangs stopped us. We were allowed to pray for some of them. Two youth were clearly touched, and one of them gave his life to Jesus.Your God is opening doors. In October we are invited with banners to pray for and in the European Parliament in Brussels. We also plan to visit and have seminars in congregations in Norway and Denmark. In Denmark we will climb the highest mountain.

The Shofar portrays an instrument made from a rams horn. The red background represents the use of the shofar as an instrument of war. One of the four functions of the shofar was to sound the alarm, gather defenders and a call to arms. The sound issuing forth in white and gold represents the revelation and freedom that can issue forth as a shofar is lifted high and blown!

From David's Desk...
Dear Worshiping Warrior,
I have just returned from a Worldwide Banner Matrix conference in Dallas, Texas, working alongside Andy Au and Kirsty Hallet. For me this was an exciting convergence of two of the strands of banner revelation and training from around the world. The Worldwide Banner Matrix is beginning to take shape.
In this newsletter we want to share with you some stories about what is happening in the North. Lars and Elizabeth's story is about what is stirring in the northern reaches of Europe. My story covers adventures in the north of Australia. Last month I spent four weeks traveling across seven Aboriginal communities and watching the Lord bring joy, restoration, and hope with banners and staffs.
We also have a brief summary by Joan Stephenson that overviews the main points about the new Hebraic year 5771 gleaned from the Glory of Zion Head of the Year conference recently held in Texas. This is a year of awakening and reformation!
Whatever situation you find yourself in during this "Feast of Booths" take the time to reflect on His faithfulness in the past. God is faithfull and He will watch over and guide us through this next phase of transition too!

Highlights for 5771

This is an edited summary of notes taken during the Head of the Year 5771 conference recently at Glory of Zion in Denton, Texas. This is a season for God's Glory to manifest and for us to receive Power to defeat the power of darkness that confronts us. This is a season of New Authority - Power in Submission to the King!
Dutch Sheets: Awakening and Reformation
The Jer. 33:3 revolution begins now. The third great awakening is NOW and is NOW beginning.
The word Reformation is what will make this movement different. We did Mark 16 and ministered to the individual. We had revival but we have not ever done Matthew 28: 18-20.
We have not seen nations discipled and nations converted to Jesus Christ and also stand with Israel. Awakening saves people and reformation saves nations. Reformation brings truth to make us free, renews minds, and emphasizes teaching, procedures, methods, and the Kingdom of God. Awakening appeals to the youth, reformation appeals to the older people. Awakening is accomplished by believers in general and reformation by the church, the ecclesia. The government of God on planet Earth will be done by the reformation.
Chuck Pierce:
In this new move of God, He is re-ordering us, re-positioning us, and making us a corporate army in Holy Array. We must understand how God is moving us. He is leading us and discipling us. It is more comfortable to remain the same than to change into the new. Don't be afraid to fail. Pride and insecurity will keep you from changing. It is a time to be healed and made whole.
At the head of the year, you gain revelation for the year ahead. The seventh month releases revelation. This is the King of all months, and we begin our journey in time. Learn how to receive revelation that will bring us into God's creative rule and power for the Glory of God. The Gates of Hell cannot withstand us when we walk in the revelation of God.
Robert Heidler:
A year of great change, things in the earth will continue to be shaken, but the Glory of God will accelerate mightily. God wants us to see clearly what He is doing in the earth. This is not a business as usual time. Teach us to flow with God in the season ahead.
Mary Glazier:
God is looking for a people that will not be tripped up by circumstances and the flesh. God wants us to have the aroma of Jesus Christ. We must have the crushing pressure of Loss and allow its process in us. When we are fully awake, then you will see His Glory. We must wake up, shake our self, get up out of bondage, and leave old issues behind. Just move in with God. Call people to get up, begin to see, heal, and a massive move of God will begin.
Pat Francis: We Must Know the Season That We Are In.
God is not in the same mood as He was yesterday. This is war time and this is harvest time.
You have to work the season. When a farmer knows that it is harvest time, he has to harvest the crop. If you don't, someone else will steal the harvest. God is looking for a solution. Open your mouth and speak like God. Speak to the giant like God. God is bringing new power to spiritual warfare. Speak to the enemy like you are God.
Paul Keith Davis:
God's people are arising with such courage and strength and with a different spirit that they will change the world.
Your future will be determined by what you see by the anointing resting on your life. Will you prophesy with a spirit of courage? We must begin to prophesy according to what God says and not from our history. .
Venner Alston: Understanding Divine Patterns
Manmade patterns will never release the life of God. We must ascend into heaven and get His pattern and then we can do what God calls us to do.
This is the season for the war horse anointing. God will bridle this anointing and He will release it the way He wants it to be. Bridle me Lord. We must have focus. We are going to break this insignificance off us. I will break all of it off you. You want to go back to the same place that you have been in. It is a new day and I am NOT GOING BACK!! Speak against all assignment of insignificance.
There will be many voices telling you things, but you must hear Father's voice to do it.
Barbara Wentroble: Positioning for this new season
You have not crossed this way before; we must understand when the old season is over. Just be in a place to hear God and don't be determined by what is going on in the world.
The new move of God has begun. We have already stepped into the 3rd great awakening. When the prophets say we have entered into it, it is a done deal.

Redeeming Banners in Aboriginal culture

My recent trip to the Northern Territories of Australia was one of the most significant things I have ever undertaken in my life. If God is moving across Australia to release people from the grip of the religious spirit, it makes a great deal of sense that He would be doing it with our Aboriginal brothers and sisters as well, both from the religious spirit that we have experience with and the traditional religious spirits that dominated the land before white men brought and imposed their own version of this spirit on them.
 The great challenge of this trip was to redeem aspects of the traditional culture, like the use of banners, without reinforcing occult traditional religion. The Aboriginal people have absorbed from the church for years that much of their culture is bad.
I had been invited by the pastors from the region to come and help extend worship in these remote communities and to train the banner dance teams that had arisen in Arnhem Land. Gary Armstrong and my son, Christopher were on the ministry team with me. What transpired went much deeper than this. During the four week trip we visited the communities of Gawa, Galiwin'ku, Millingimbi, Ramingining, Gapuwiyak, Bremer Island, Yirrkala, Wallaby Beach and Numbulwar.
In most of the places we went on prayer walks around the communities. I encouraged the people to sing worship songs in their own language and we called out the names of the Lord together.
We participated in mini-workshops, individual ministry and corporate worship, much of it outside on the beaches and community open spaces.
In each of the communities we worked with the children, explaining banners and colour and allowing them to run and worship individually and collectively. The colour and excitement also drew others in and their vocal exuberance lifted spirits. Many children came with us as we prayed, marched and sang our ways around the communities.
For hundreds of years Yungu clans have used coloured banners as part of their cultural identity and significant ceremonies and events.
Several years ago teams of dancers began to worship with banners and perform "banner dances". It was wonderful to be able to spend time with dancers at Gawa, Galiwin'ku, Ramingining, Yirrkala ands Numbulwar.
We explored a deeper biblical understanding of banners and other facets of banner use including warfare, prayer and ministry. It was a great joy to see them understand that there was more that they could do with their own natural movements.
I also felt to introduce the men in Galiwin'ku to the use of staffs as part of dances or creative acts. We cut 14 eucalyptus saplings from the bush and stripped them to make eight-foot staffs. On seeing me with the staff, Duganbar, one of the Galiwin'ku elders said "As you began to show the men how to use them in worship, without knowing you mirrored some of the movements in a traditional dance." This affirmed for her that these movements were spiritually neutral and could also be used in worship to Yahweh.
The men only had a few hours together, but they were powerful. On the final night we concluded by forming a shelter with the staffs over all the children gathered in the middle and declared blessing and protection over every child on the island.
