Something is happening with color!
Be encouraged. There is something happening with color all around the world. The Eiffel Tower in Paris, which is normally lighted in one color , has for its 60th anniversary gone multicolored. Just look at these images from Christine and Sodapop from France. There is a shift happening about color and the arts. Even the Pope is picking up on it!
Pope Benedict recently met in Rome with artists from around the
world and encouraged them to inject spirituality into their work. Meeting in
the Sistine Chapel with more than 250 painters, poets, sculptors and
architects, he said that contemporary art was often "illusory and
deceitful" and that he wanted to "renew the Church's friendship with
the world of art." Read more here.

An Opportunity to
Bless France
For a very long time other nations have spoken poorly of France. Even Christians have spoken negatively about this nation and its people. Words have impacts in the spirit realm. France and the French, especially our brothers and sisters in France, need our support, not critical words.
Our friends Christine and Sodapop in Lyon are offering us an opportunity to reverse the trend and bless the shift that is being felt across this nation. Please consider buying a calendar to help support the establishment of a 24-hour House of Prayer and Worship in France.
The calendar is called "Home" and Christine explains its purpose:
"This is a calendar that dances over Time, Colours and Movement for Today.
The visuals for each month are inspired by the lost meaning of words that we need to find again: "Home"
Please give a gift of beauty, movement and life for Christmas or for the New Year, with a message bearing gifts throughout 2010. The pictures deliver small portions of text or verses in French, English, Spanish or Portuguese."

From David's Desk...
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Even as we continue the process of aligning to the Hebraic calendar, the end of 2009 still feels like a time of completion and taking stock .
As we prepare to spend time with family members and have some much needed rest time, some of us in snow and sleet, some in the heat of summer, there is a cultural lull that draws us to stop and reflect.
Whatever barometric and thermometric conditions you are surrounded by, may you enjoy a time of peace and joy as you celebrate the Advent season! Thank you for your support and encouragement - you may never know how important it is to me and the team!
At Out of Our Minds Banners we have seen a great deal of growth since the beginning of the Hebraic year 5770 back in September. I will always remember the day, because I was with my friends Christine and Soda ( see articles to the left ) doing my first-ever workshop in Israel when the skies opened and it poured with strong, powerful rain and we (and about 100 others) all yelled, ran around and prophesied at the top of our voices!
In these three short months we have seen great expansion. We have:
appointed two new customer support personnel in North America. released seven new powerful designs. provided a new, more economic line of "Mini-banners." appointed two new Banner Coaches ( fluent in Spanish and Italian). begun functioning in a more purposeful way as leaders on the global stage with the International Christian Dance Fellowship and the Banner Leaders Network. gotten the Spanish and French manuscripts of "Wielding Banners" to final proofing stage. (along with the the Pope) noticed a resurgence in the importance of colour and Christians in the arts.
And TODAY we are announcing the release of a new range of shofars available online. For years I have noted the link between banners and shofars, but it is only in the last months I have been able to activate my dream to link them on one site!
The battle has never been fiercer, nor the opposition more brutal, yet despite it all we move forward!
I trust trust that for you too, no matter what you have had to stand against or walk through these last three months, you are in a very different space than where you stood or walked back in August!
Whoever I speak with around the world, it is like we have been pushed into a narrow place, a narrow, constrictive canal - a painful transition from which glorious joy-filled life can spring forth!
During this season, yes, look back and reflect, but let me urge you to LOOK FORWARD to what is being birthed in you and through you!
With great anticipation, David Stanfield
P.S. - I'm expecting you to do something extraordinary!

Driving Seven Hours to Worship with Flags
by Laurence D. Smart The call went out to come to Sydney, the capital city of the state of New South Wales in Australia, for a time of East Gate worship. For 18 months worshippers had been meeting strategically around Sydney for times of prophetic worship. West Gate worship in the mountains bordering Sydney, a high place favoured by the enemy, had already taken place in April of 2009.
The invitation on this occasion was to meet in the inner city suburb of Redfern to support the pastors of the indigenous community there. This was to be a time of worship, declaration, intercession, and honouring of the Lord Jesus. A team of eight flag worshippers and dancers travelled from Canberra, the capital city of Australia, to join our indigenous brothers and sisters. Our purpose was to be a visible support to them and to honour them by submitting to their leadership and programme. A marquee tent had been erected on 'The Block', a vacant piece of land surrounded by old-fashioned terrace houses where the aboriginal community lived. It was a quiet Sunday morning when the proceedings started at 11 am, with a focus on the Lord, His names and His attributes. This was followed by Communion and a time of worship. The sleepiness of the Redfern morning was overtaken by the music and singing through the amplification system and the flag worshippers moved outside onto the paddock (open field) with their flags flying gently in the breeze. The flags added colour and movement to the scene and soon a number of the aboriginal children came round to see what was going on. They were attracted by the flags and joined in with us, copying our wielding movements. The children asked what the flags meant and were able to repeat the meaning when they were asked. As this first three-hour session progressed, the adults in the community began to congregate at a distance, checking out the tent, the flags and the music. By the time the session ended, a number of them had moved to the tent and its surrounds, watching and listening. Having completed our purpose of support and adding to the worship, our team returned to our cars and drove back to Canberra. What a fabulous time it was taking worship out into the world, away from the restrictions of a church building, out into the open where the colour, movement and freedom impacted people on the streets. Fellowshipping with like-minded worshippers, and being the Body of Christ in action in the 'marketplace' was very satisfying. Certainly, seven hours of car travel for a three hour time of worship with flags in the open air was well worth the time and effort - not to mention the impact on the lives of those in Redfern, and also on the spiritual realm.

New!SHOFARS"Raise a banner in the land! Sound the shofar among the nations!" Jeremiah 51:27
After waiting for years to be able to do it, Out of Our Minds Banners now brings you the very best in quality shofars directly from the land of Israel. Intrinsically linked with banners throughout the Bible, our shofars will add an extra dimension to your worship and warfare while also connecting you with the very roots of your faith. Banners were raised and shofars were blown by the people of God every time they moved together, waged war and celebrated victory.
We offer a range of shofar products including: Ram's Horn Shofars, Yemenite Kudu Shofars, Oryx Shofars and Rams Anointing Horns.
Hand-crafted using time-honoured techniques dating back to the 14th century, all our shofars are manufactured and accredited under rabbinical supervision.
The beautiful workmanship in each shofar exhibits the talents and skills of two Israeli families who have been producing these instruments for 15 generations.
Jeremiah 51:27 tells us to "Lift up a banner in the land! Blow the shofar among the nations!" Together banners and shofars announce Christ's kingship, declare spiritual warfare in high places and make perfect partners in worship and intercession.
