Coming in Hebraic Year 5770!

The team at Out of Our Minds banners are working on some exciting new concepts to be released in the balance of 5770.
Stay Ready! | |
From David's Desk...
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
It seems that for many, this has been a season of trials, hardship and pushing
through.
Hebrews chapter 12 inspires us to keep persevering in the
race because there are many witnesses from ages past who were found faithful
and who surround us now like a great cloud cheering us on to finish the race
that they began decades, centuries and even millennia ago!
It tells us to throw off those things that are hindering us, to set ourselves
apart from sin and focus on Jesus, who is the start and perfecter of
our faith, and who went through horrendous opposition, hostility, shame, and in
the end endured even the cross. (Which I sincerely hope you have avoided
up to now!!)
It encourages us to not grow weary or lose heart and in verse 12, it says
"Therefore, let the hands which are hanging down be lifted up and the
feeble knees be made strong and make straight roads for your feet so that the
feeble may be made strong." (BBE)
This is an echo of proverbs 4:25-27. "Let your eyes
look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for
your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the
left; keep your foot from evil." (NIV)
I want to exhort you to lift heavy hands and strengthen your knees and to push
a firm path forward into your future. Do not swerve, do not back down, do not
give up, do not let go. Keep asking the lord to show you where the firm, level,
straight path is where you should put your next step.
One of the easiest ways to lift up hands is to put a banner
in them and let them wave it!
Worship Him! Give Him thanks at every opportunity and KEEP MOVING FORWARD into
the destiny He has for you.
In this Issue...
Allow others to inspire you ... like Sophie and Frederique
from France who have been waving banners and declaring on Mt. Ararat
in Turkey, or the community
in Gillits, South Africa who shifted the
focus to Jesus in a BIG way!
We are moving forward with Mini-banners. OOOMB
is providing some cost-effective ways to bring banners and the Names of
God into the open with our new Mini-banner range.
We have selected fifteen of our most popular designs and made up three sets to
make them as affordable as possible. I took some Mini-banners to a primary
school last month and they were quickly pulled from my hands and waved with
great joy... by boys!
I'm excited to be to able to meet with staff, coaches and intercessors in
the USA next week, as well as advancing some plans to begin to expose what the
Lord has up His mighty sleeve about color and the Kingdom!
I will also be appointing a new, permanent staff member to better serve banner
wavers in North America.
To help you move into the new, use our $10 voucher to
buy any design in our range, or our $20 voucher to save on our newest
designs.
Buy a gift the counts this Christmas season and lift up
those hands!!!

 Banners on Mount Ararat
People across the world are using banners in very strategic ways!
Frederique Krol (left) was one of the first to purchase one of our new "Hope" banners after they were released.
Here is a photo of her and Sophie de Cameret on Mt. Ararat in Turkey.
Sophie reports," We were in Turkey from the 4th to the 12th of September to walk on Mount Ararat on 09-09-09 and proclaim again that God is THE God of creation and that HE holds the covenant with humanity.
We were a team of good and trained "soldiers" of His Kingdom. We did not go to the top but the guide did it two days later, and he took our French flag with the one of Israel on it at the top !! "

'Jesus is King' banners at South African marathon
by Ted Sommerville, Gilitts SA
The Comrades Marathon has run annually in South Africa for 82 years between Pietermaritzburg, the inland capital of KwaZulu-Natal, and Durban, on the coast. It is a 90-km (56 mile) ultramarathon that attracts fields of over 14,000, ranging from international stars to keep-fit joggers. It has usually been run on a public holiday to minimize inconvenience, as the old main road between the cities is totally closed to traffic for most of the day. However, last year they decided to hold the race on a Sunday. This meant that a number of churches along the route had their access cut off. Objections were lodged - to no avail. Further protests on the race day were considered, including placards along the route, denying access to water, and other more or less adversarial activities. (Lord have mercy!) In Gillitts, some 30 km from the finish, one response was to erect eye-catching teardrop-shaped banners proclaiming "JESUS IS KING" along a stretch of the route, so as to form an avenue through which the runners would pass. Initial interest for this crazy idea gradually grew, especially after the banners had been shown around local churches. A number of congregations and individuals paid for banners and the company that makes them added another nine to the sixteen ordered. On race day, in the middle of a long dry winter, the soil on either side of the road proved to be harder than anticipated, but an hour's hammering saw the yellow-and-black banners brightening the chilly morning. They were planted a few yards apart on either side of a narrow downhill stretch of road where they could be easily seen. The front-runners were soon in sight, and the day's reactions began. A number of those going for gold crossed themselves as they came to the banners.
Many during the day raised one or both hands during the time that they took to traverse the avenue of banners.
A gent was seen to doff his cap as he came up to them. One guy stopped and asked "Do you know how happy I am to see the name of Jesus?"
Many others also commented: "Like your banners!"
"Amen! Pragtig (Beautiful)!" "Hallelujah!" "King of kings! Lord of lords!" "Up the Gospel!" "My King loves me!" "He's the only One! He picks them up when they put them down!" The most enthusiastic reaction was "I'd like to run to the stadium with one." (With 30 km to go, we suggested he conserve his energy for running.)
The most heartfelt reaction was from the runner who staggered up, stopped, grasped the pole panting, looked up at the banner and just said "Help!" No adverse reactions were seen or heard. Spectators who were already out early in the morning to secure their viewing points and start their breakfasts were curious, but supportive. "What are you guys advertising?" "The name of Jesus?" "Oh - great!" "Why don't we get a whole lot more and line a longer stretch of road?" (Why not indeed? Maybe next year?) This was a positive response to the "playing sport on Sunday issue". We used the occasion as a positive affirmation of the Lord's supremacy in all things.
Everywhere, at all times, the Lord's name is to be praised.
