Banner Leaders Summit reveals unity of heart, mind and vision
One of the outstanding results of the Banner Leaders Summit was the realization that all the banner leaders shared the same vision. Their hearts were united in desiring to release people into their destiny in God. Another main thread was the desire to not idolize banners but to use them to glorify God in worship, thereby drawing all men to Himself that they might be saved, healed and delivered.
It was a delight to see all the different banners that were shared amongst us. Those of us who design and make banners were very inspired to see them all.

From worshiping on the beach to distilling the vision for banners in the earth to sharing our lives over tea and mealtimes, the time spent together was a joy.

On the last evening we were delighted to see a stunning display of 40 banners laid out on the floor, a gift to each of us from Darleen West of Canada. Each one was hand painted in a fire design which incorporated the Canadian Maple Leaf.
We particularly want to thank those who answered the call to intercede - your part was vital to the success of the summit.

New Banner Designs!
We are excited about our new banner designs which are starting to roll out this month. They are the most detailed and colorful banners that our painters have ever produced.

Eagle Soaring
The eagle's large wings depict its strength and power while
the paleness of its feathers represents the lightness of being carried up and
away in an act of redemption, a metaphor described in Exodus 19:4.
The hovering, protective aspect of the eagle is highlighted
in this banner, as it soars high, circling over the heads of worshippers.

Eagle Descending in War
God's judgment has been described as an eagle swooping on
its prey, striking fear into the hearts of those waiting below (Jeremiah
49:22). This banner represents the stunning magnificence of an eagle, as God
prepares to do battle on behalf of His saints.

From David's Desk...
Can you feel the shifting? Don't feel discouraged. Don't be disheartened. There is a breaking through occurring and things are changing!
It doesn't always feel safe or comfortable, but we are in the midst of great transition. Hold the course, recheck your charts, keep your purpose and aim clear in your mind.
Remember where you set out for. It is too easy to be distracted by the pounding waves and howling wind- keep your bearings and HOLD ON! It has been that sort of a month for me personally and for the team at OOOMB.
The International Christian Dance Fellowship international Conference in St Andrews, Scotland was a wonderful experience.
Seeing banners used around historic buildings made a grand statement, and it was very special for me to have my son Chris with me.
The ICDF Banner Leaders Summit in Scotland was awesome. Thirty-nine leaders and intercessors gathered and shared and talked and prayed together.
I believe something shifted in the Spirit realm as we agreed together and prophesied in motion. We met real people with a passion for the Kingdom and to see it extended across the earth in greater measure.
We are still compiling the discussions, directions and conclusions that flowed from it, but we will start to give you a taste in this edition and share more as it matures.
We have established a leadership team of six international level leaders. We come from 5 nations and speak four languages fluently between us. We are set to see a new season as information about banners spreads across language barriers more effectively than ever before. Together we will begin to explore and outline what we believe the ICDF Banners Leaders Network will look like and how it will function.
There are also seven small groups established to champion the key themes that emerged. These were:
- Banners and the Prophetic
- A Comprehensive Biblical Basis
- Banners and Men
- Banners and Identity
- Finding Intercessors for Banner Ministers
- Banners Internationally
- Banners and Israel
I am off to the All Nations Convocation and Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem and the International Healing Rooms Conference in Spokane, WA, USA. I will be leading corporate worship with banners at all three events, and a workshop at the convocation and the conference, so come and join us if you can!
In this edition we are also releasing two new banner designs, "Eagle Soaring" and "Eagle Descending in War!"
May you experience Shalom during this season of shift!

New wine for old wineskins by Carole Brown
Several years ago David did a workshop in my area. He had done the teaching on a Saturday morning and we had
all taken banners and were moving in a prophetic way. I had the communion
banner - the one with the grapes and the wine glass. I was wielding it and going
in large circles waving it over everyone and repeatedly saying, "New wine
for old wineskins, new wine for old wineskins". It concerned me that I had
said "new wine for old wineskins" because of the Scriptures seemingly
saying you can't put new wine in old wineskins because it will burst the old
wineskins (Luke 5:36-39).
I received the following explanation as I was doing my Torah
Studies. I have studied with a Messianic group called First Fruits of Zion for
several years. This year we are going through the gospels including the book of
Acts. In the study of Luke 5:36-39 the parable of the old coat and the old
wineskins is a double parable. And when I was studying it I realized what the
prophetic word was that Saturday.
The new wine means a new teaching - the new revelation of
the use of banners and flags in worship and warfare.
The new wineskins are those who are receptive because they
are uneducated in this area and are willing to do a new thing. The old wine is previous teachings- you know, all those
can'ts.
A lot of us are old wineskins, meaning that we have been
educated that you can't do this and you can't do that and you can't use flags
in church, in worship services. It's just isn't done.
God is re-educating the old wineskins and is bringing them
to a new place of accepting banners and flags in worship. He's making them new
wineskins.
The following is from an article entitled "New Wineskin
- New Wine" by Chuck Pierce in Kairos Magazine dated March - April 2006 and I
have paraphrased a couple of paragraphs that I feel apply to the above.
The word used for new is kainos, meaning something that has
been renewed or made over - something restored. In the restorative process, God
re-educates us and brings us to a new place so He can pour within us that which
He longs to release to us - our new wine. He takes our old wineskin, soaks it in water,
and rubs it in oil in order to make a new wineskin. We become flexible as the
oil is rubbed in and the oil contains a new anointing that comes as we allow
the Holy Spirit's rubbing process to work in our lives.
In order for God to be able to renew our wineskin we must
allow Him to remove legalism, condemnation, and judgementalism from our lives.
In the process of renewing our wineskin, He will restore intimate contact with
Himself and others, He will restore our Father/child relationship, and He will
restore our child-like faith.
Our God is on the move! I'm praying for more and more old
wineskins to be restored and receive their re-education.

Second Banner Leaders Summit and "Awesome" Conference Postponed
We are postponing the North American ICDF Banner Leaders Summit and the "AWESOME ... as an Army with Banners!" conference that we had scheduled for November.
However, the summit is still in the works for the future, so if you are a banner leader who has strategic, national or international revelation, experience and passion for banners, and you were not able to attend the Scotland meeting, you will want to be a part of this. The number of leaders will be limited to to 28, with 12 spaces reserved for people from outside North America.Applications for the summit will be reviewed and invitations will then be sent. If you are a national leader anywhere in the world, please contact me! We will let you know the details for the Summit and Conference when new dates are set. |
