Banner Leaders Summit in Burntisland,

It's finally here! The International Banner Leaders Summit takes place in Burntisland, Scotland this month. Thank you to those who answered the call for intercessors to cover this very strategic meeting and all the participants. We have banner leaders and intercessors coming from England, Scotland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, South Africa, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Canada and the United States.
We will worship, share and strategize together as we seek the Lord for His keys to unlock the power of banners globally in the next 24 months.
We believe God is up to something big and are looking forward to giving you an exciting report in next month's newsletter. |
"Consuming the Spirit of Religion"

The Jealous God
This banner is based on the regional flag of Galicia in Spain. The religious symbolism of
the shield in the centre has burst into flame. This holy fire
represents the Glory and presence of God, His holiness, cleansing and
purifying power. He is a jealous God Who wants His people to worship
Him alone.
It is a prophetic statement of the plans of God to reignite all of
His people who have become brittle and dry - transforming us into a
passionate, consuming fireball that will spread out and change the
world for Him.
Much like the early days when the apostles ranged out
across the nations without the heavy expectation of religious ritual,
these fireballs will again roam the earth igniting it with the power of
God.
Let the Holy Spirit expose the religious in our midst and burn away
the dross, setting us free to be his witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea,
in Samaria and to the very ends of the earth!

From David's Desk...
He WILL use the willing
 God is looking for people who will be willing to change the spiritual
atmosphere over their nation!
Will you be one?
Are you willing, but
don't feel qualified?
Consider this.
He has chosen to use: Adulterers, children, deceivers, doubters, drunkards, fearful,
gossiping, heathen, idolaters, liars, murderers, old women, older men, paupers,
prostitutes, rebels, stutterers, the depressed , the despised, the
self-righteous, the suicidal, unwed mothers, widows, and worriers ...and that is just a few of the ones we read
about in the Bible.
Still feeling unqualified?
Through the centuries he has used even less qualified people
than that to keep His fire burning and extend His kingdom.
The people described above didn't just START out that way-
many of them messed up while God was using them! Consider Abraham, Cyrus,
David, Gideon, Jacob, Jeremiah, Josiah, Martha, Mary, Miriam, Moses, Naomi, Noah,
Paul, Peter, Samson and Solomon. In fact- consider every human used by God to
prosper His will. We stand in awe of
them now - but most of them felt exactly the way you do.
In the light of this, re-examine those reasons that you
don't REALLY believe he can do great things with you.
In Psalm 51:17 David writes that God does not despise a heart
that has been broken and bruised In fact,
he seems to take joy in using the broken and bruised-hearted.
Get ready to stand up and raise your banner high - its time
for a new awakening!
Your nation needs you to walk fully in your destiny. God
designed a destiny for you as he knit you together in your mother's womb - and
He will fully equip you to fulfill it.
Let Him know again today that you are willing.

My Banner
Journey

My name is Ian Brearley. I am 60 years young andI was saved out
of the hippie scene in December 1974. When I heard David was coming to Canberra (where we live),
I just about counted the days for 5 months - the Saturday finally came, and I
was SO READY for this. He taught us the basics, and I bought a used
Holy-Spirit-overcoming-the-religious-spirit banner - I knew the Lord
specifically wanted me to have this banner.
For many weeks He had me arrive early and wave it all through
the building we worship in on Sunday mornings. He has not got me to do this
since. We now enjoy a much greater liberty in our corporate worship. He also
had me walk the streets of our suburb with this flag.
Now He has me walking the streets of our suburb with the
Christian flag. Many stop and ask me what it means. The odd one abuses me, but
most are very encouraging when they realise what it stands for. He gets me to
walk around the high school and primary schools in our area. I often balk at
this - I feel like a dork doing it - but one day the Lord said to me "Do you
want revival to break out in your area?" Can a duck swim?
Again and again the Lord has said to me, "I want you out the
front worshiping, where the people can see you. Many women have been hurt by
men, and it is very healing for them to see a man worshiping with all his
might out the front". Many of the sisters have come to me since then and backed
that up.
Now I am being led into worship dance. I find that you can't
stand still and flag for long, you just have to start moving somehow.
I was
brought up on a farm on New England in northern New South Wales. Our house was over 2
kilometers from the next house. We kids were very shy. When someone would show
up on a horse or tractor, we'd run up to the shed to hide.
What I'm finding with banner worship is that just as elite athletes have all
got a pain barrier to work past, that the Lord is bringing me through various
fear barriers : fear of man, and what he thinks of me (all pride of course).
Anyone
who has fear as their Lord certainly cannot have God as their Lord. He tells me
to do something, and my response is "I'm scared of what people will think
of me". I am learning that He delights in me, and that I don't have to
fear what man thinks of me. It is something very close to home to have people
watch you pouring your heart out in worship to the Lord, but this is very
healing to yourself and also a blessing to others watching.
We were all built and wired for this, but the Lord must set us free before we
can. 
The picture is from the Katoomba Conference recently. The five sisters on the
floor face-down captures the most anointed moments of the 3-day conference. The
presence of the Lord was so strong we all just shut up and waited on Him.
God bless you O banner people. I thought the hippies were my people, but I
found them so disappointing - great ideas but no get up and go.
Now I know who my people are: They walk into meetings carrying packages with
poles sticking out of them. They are from the tribe of Judah - the praising
tribe. Their hearts burn with a flame of love for the King and His Kingdom.
They do some weird things like collapsing under the power of the Holy Spirit,
only to lie on the floor alternately laughing then crying, but after the hippie
scene, weird is no problem to me.

Another banner leaders summit ...
Because demand was so great to
participate in the Banner Leaders Summit in Scotland, we are going to
have another one in the United States in November.
The criteria for this leaders summit will be the same as for Scotland:
leaders who have strategic, national or
international revelation, experience and passion for banners. This
meeting will go from Monday the 16th to Wednesday the 18th of November.
The
number of leaders is limited to to 28, with 15 spaces reserved for
people from outside North America. All applications for the summit will
be reviewed and invitations will then be sent.
If you are a national leader anywhere in the world, please contact me!
.... and a conference
Because we have found that so many people
are just desperate to connect with other banner people all around the
world, we are going to have an open conference as well that will be
AWESOME ... as an Army with Banners!
The AWESOME conference is open to everyone and will start on Thursday the 19th and go to Sunday the 22nd. We are planning for you to have huge corporate worship time, small group activities, plus you will be able to experience a huge range of ribbons and banners.
We don't have location set as yet, but are expecting it to be in Texas or California to make travel easier for everyone. An e-mail will be coming out shortly with more details, but it is not too soon to mark your calendar and pray about your participation in these events.
It's going to be truly AWESOME!
