Creating value for Nebraska's career education system
Greetings!

Welcome back to school!

This was quite a summer for everyone! While the Olympics and the summer heat kept us indoors, Nebraska career education teachers were working on updating standards for Hospitality & Tourism, Information Technology, Arts,AV & Communications, Engineering & Robotics and Family & Consumer Sciences.  Currently McREL is aligning all of the CTE standards to the National Common Core and the Nebraska Academic Course Standards. Those will all be available on the Partnerships for Innovation website in December.  The Standards section of the website will be updated in the next month, so if it's difficult to find something, please let Erika know.

PFI supported professional development opportunities this summer to include the CASE Institute, Career Education Leadership Academy and the Personal Finance Institute. All were a HUGE success! Thanks to those facilitators and participants who were involved. Everyone has reported that the time and effort was fruitful.    PFI is supporting the following future activities: Community College Leadership Academy, MCIT Working Connections scholarships for high school IT faculty and the Entrepreneurship Infusion Workshop. If you would like more information about any of these opportunities please check out the website or contact Erika.

The Partnerships for Innovation Leadership Council approved the 2012-13 Program of Work. If you are curious what PFI is up to these days, check us out!

Don't forget to "Like" Partnerships for Innovation on Facebook- there's lots of just-in-time information and resources available!
