CJPME cordially invites you to the launch reception for "A Child's View from Gaza" exhibition in Hamilton. The reception will take place as follows:

Saturday, Sept. 22, 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

Presented at the Hamilton Public Library (Central Branch) through Sept. 29, the exhibition features 21 pieces centered around drawing by children from Gaza, ages 5 to 14. The exhibition gives a colourful children's perspective on life in Gaza, the impact of the ongoing blockade, and the Israeli offensive on Gaza (Dec. 2008 - Jan. 2009). Despite the young age of the children, the drawings provide fascinating insights on life and survival in Gaza. Each drawing is unique in its style, perspective and details.

Please RSVP if possible, if you plan to attend the launch reception.

Light snacks and beverages will be provided. The program will also include two video shorts:

In addition to being displayed at the Hamilton Public Library until September 29th, the exhibition will be presented at various other Hamilton-area venues in late September and early October as follows:
