Meet Deniece Rogers
Deniece RogersDeniece Rogers joined our volunteer team this fall as part of her coursework at DePaul University where she will soon receive her bachelor's degree. If you know Deniece, you know she isn't stopping there. Rather, she is committed to pursuing a career in law and will go on to law school and give back to her community.

As an ex-offender, Deniece carries a tremendous passion for helping young people in the criminal justice system. She's made a profound impact on many JFY clients, not the least of which is Rodgerick O'Neal, whom she shined a spotlight on in the workshop as someone with a past but also someone with a tremendous future. Deniece uses the caterpillar to butterfly metaphor for her own transformation, as well as what Rodgerick is capable of; in fact he just received his first interview ever and was made an offer to work!

Thank you Deniece, for all that you do for us as a JFY volunteer and role model to our clients, particularly those who are ex-offenders. We are grateful for you.
