Meet Eva Kennedy | Clients say it. Staff says it. It's unanimous. Eva Kennedy's energy is contagious. A former executive at Allstate, Eva made her commitment known early on: that she would give JFY clients and graduates "real talk" and work with them one-on-one if needed to boost confidence and increase chances of success. She also had a dream of her own. After a few initial discussions and formal strategy review, Eva presented an idea for working with JFY clients who struggle through the eight-day process and especially the interviews. Thanks to Eva's enthusiasm, creativity and prowess, JFY's Continuing Education was born. Every other Tuesday, Eva spends three hours at JFY working with clients who did not pass their mock interviews. They are those who need more, all the way around. Needless to say, it works. Big time. So far more than a dozen youth have gone through the training and there is one unanimous sentiment: "Please make it longer!" JFY Graduate Jimmy Brown even boasted, "This workshop should be for everyone who attends Jobs For Youth." Eva's determination is precisely in line with the mission we live by at JFY, and we are grateful. Thank you Eva, for all that you do. |
