Meet Maxine Garcia
|
Maxine Garcia came to Jobs For Youth boasting a wealth of knowledge in human resources and recruiting as well as a real passion for working with young adults. Her appreciation for the details of an interview, resumes and general branding is apparent in her consistent and frequent participation in Mock Interviews. Without fail, Maxine works tirelessly to give JFY clients the attention their documents and interactions deserve, not only spending quality time editing and critiquing, but encouraging as well. JFY staff has remarked upon and lauded her feedback as it helps our Employer Services team do their job placements with greater ease. Responses to seeing her feedback range from, "Wow!" to "This is exactly what we need." On occasion, she even sends additional detailed Word document assessments on clients' performance!
Beyond the practical, Maxine spurns our graduates who seek careers in the creative field to challenge their talent and encourage networking. As a professional photographer, Maxine is able to share how to turn art into business and has opened her Rolodex on countless occasions to young adults interest in the arts; from aspiring music producers to recording artists. It is this determination and passion that extends beyond her face-to-face interactions that we are so grateful for at JFY. Thank you Maxine, from all of us and for all that you do.
