Dear Log Rolling Friends and Family,

As the world of log rolling slows down during the colder months, USLRA is working hard to improve our rules, ranking system, communication, and overall plan of work for 2010.  To do this we need your help.  We are having our annual membership meeting tomorrow,  November 14th, immediately after the November Nationals Log Rolling Tournament.  I highly recommend attending this meeting as it will be essential for 2010 planning.

KEEP ROLLIN'!

Sincerely,
Shana Martin
USLRA President

2009 USLRA Membership Meeting
As a board, we've decided to move our annual membership meeting to a time that is less stressful than the World Championships in Hayward, yet still accessible by most competitors and families.

Where: St. Croix Valley YMCA 2211 Vine Street, Hudson, WI 54016

When: Saturday November 14 immediately after competition at the November Nationals Log Rolling Tournament (estimated start time is 4:30pm)

Who: All USLRA Members and their families

What Will Be Covered?

Before the meeting, please take a moment to review the current rules and ranking system
  • Awards will be given out for the 2009 Super Series
  • 2010 Rules will be presented and discussed
  • New board members and executive officers will be nominated and elected
  • Discussion of 2010 World Championships Location
  • Presentation and discussion of 2010 Plan of work and budget
***Timeline for 2010 Rankings and Feedback:***
The ranking committee has concluded that it would be wise to have hard copies available for review at the annual meeting as sending out tentative rankings, then sending out final rankings can confuse many.

It would be proper to solicit feedback for "suggestions" for the ranking committee when sending out final rankings for 2010.

Our goal is to have rankings finalized for board review the beginning of December.  The board will meet in December to approve these results, and then we will send out in January for competitor review and feedback January 15th.  The rankings will be posted on the web by end of January.

The Membership meeting will NOT run longer than 90 minutes and snacks will be provided.

Please try your best to attend this meeting as it is important for the growth and governance of our sport.

Competitor ID
Just a reminder about the competitor ID card rate in 2010:

Competitors are required to hold a Competitor ID Card, good for life as long as a membership as a competitor or associate is maintained.  If you received your Competitor Card this year (it was free of charge in 2009), please remember to renew your USLRA membership in 2010.  As of January 1st the charge for the Competitor ID will be $25
