ELCA Disaster Response: Hurricane Isaac
The Rev. Daniel Rift, Director of ELCA World Hunger and Disaster Appeal
Last week, Hurricane Isaac struck the Gulf Coast of the United States. The storm brought multiple days of heavy rain and winds, leading to widespread damage exactly seven years after Hurricane Katrina affected the same region of the country. Eight deaths in the U.S. are now blamed on Hurricane Isaac, which killed 19 people in Haiti several days earlier.
We need your help. The ELCA is a leader in disaster response, especially in the Gulf Coast.
