The Southeastern Iowa Synod, along with 42 other synods earned the 2% discount!  Over 190 ELCA primary healthcare members participated, earning an estimated savings of $38,000.

It's been a few days since the close of our challenge for World Malaria Day, and I want to share an update with you.Even though we're still counting the generous outpouring of gifts from ELCA members, we're very hopeful that our $200,000 goal will be met. So far, we've received more than $120,000 in online donations and we know that many individuals and congregations have placed gifts and offerings in the mail. It'll take a few more weeks to total these gifts, but I'll keep you posted.  

Thanks to your generous gifts and support, we believe that the ELCA Malaria Campaign will launch work in Liberia earlier than anticipated. In a country where malaria accounts for 30 percent of deaths in hospitals, this couldn't come at a more important time.
