CTIM 2012: Wellness & Wholeness

The Rev. Beebe and daughers
The Rev. Scott Beebe and his daughters, Jasmine and Tiffany.

Plan now to attend the 2012 Called Together in Mission (CTIM) on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, IA. This year CTIM welcomes The Rev. Scott K. Beebe as the keynote speaker, Co-Director for the Luther Academy of the Rockie and pastor of Mt. of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in the Vail Valley of Colorado.  Here's a preview:

"Healthy disciples make for healthy, vibrant congregations and healthy congregations make for a healthy, evangelizing church The question we will explore together is simply, what makes for healthy disciples?  What do they look like?  Would you recognize a healthy disciple if you saw one?  Together we will explore St. Paul's understanding of what makes for healthy community life and compare that to the ELCA Wellness Wheel.  At its deepest level, the journey to wholeness is a community effort through which we experience both the wonder and amazing grace of God."

-The Rev. Scott K. Beebe

lenten meal series

Lent is a time of prayer, service, and self-examination. During this time, many will choose to live simpler lives, remembering those who do not have the food, money, or resources to simply live.
