ANNOUNCEMENT: Dallas - HFF announced that Troy Manson has joined the firm as a managing director in its Dallas office. Mr. Manson will work alongside managing director Brian Kelly in HFF's Chicago office to handle student housing sales nationally. Mr. Manson has more than nine years of experience in student housing investments and operations. He joins HFF from Halyard Ventures, where he was the managing principal and founder.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Dallas - Colliers International announced that Gianni LaBarba has joined the Dallas-Fort Worth office as senior vice president specializing in office tenant representation. He joins Colliers with more than 10 years of experience in the Dallas commercial real estate industry. Prior to joining Colliers International, LaBarba was a senior vice president at Cresa.

INDUSTRIAL: Dallas - CBRE and UBS Investment Bank represented AEW Capital Management in the sale of a 5.5-million-SF U.S. Industrial Portfolio. The portfolio was 97% occupied at the time of sale to strong credit and national tenants. Along with properties sold in NJ, CA, UT, MD, and WI, it included Verde Realty's purchase of two properties in Dallas/Fort Worth totaling 619,530 SF.
INDUSTRIAL: Sulphur Springs - 4M Realty's Michael Weis represented the seller, Foworth Galbraith Lumber Co., in the sale of the 50,000 SF industrial building on 7.99 acres at 1137 Loop 301 East in Sulphur Springs to Kennedy Commercial LLC.
INDUSTRIAL: Garland - Dallas Distillery Corporation has leased 7,000 SF of office/warehouse space at 805 Shepherd Drive in Garland. Larry Robbins of Capstone Commercial handled the lease negotiations.

LAND: Grayson County - Henry S. Miller Brokerage's Ray Utley and Grant Brodeur arranged the acquisition of 80.64 acres located in the NWQ of Plainview Lane and SH 289, five miles northwest of Sherman in Grayson County. The property was owned by a Sherman native and sold by the Miller team to a North Texas-based investor. The buyer plans to use the land for agricultural purposes in the immediate future and hold the property as a long-term investment.

MIXED-USE: Odessa - Collin Sewell, President of the Sewell Family of Companies, announced that the 120-room The Residence Inn by Marriott and Aim Bank will join other businesses at Parks Legado Town Center in Odessa. Parks Legado Town Center is a 68-acre mixed use development under construction on SH 191 in Odessa. The Parks Legado development team includes Mr. Sewell and Dallas-based developer Don Epperson.

The seller was BACM 2007-2 Cliff Park Apartments, LLC c/o Helios AMC, LLC. The buyer was 220 Overton Apts. Dallas, LLC. The transaction was negotiated by Peter Hartnett of the Dallas office of Hendricks & Partners on behalf of the seller.

RETAIL: Mesquite - The Retail Connection and North American Development Group have purchased Towne Centre Plaza, a 94,109 SF property located one block off I-635 on North Mesquite Drive across from Town East Mall. The Retail Connection is currently in negotiations for the 23,000 SF vacancy in the center with a national tenant, which when leased, will bring the center back to 100% occupancy.
RETAIL: Plano - Roadhouse restaurant has leased 3,200 SF at Spring Creek Commons, 4152 W. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Dale Bryant of Retail Solutions represented the landlord.
