ANNOUNCEMENT: Austin - The Central Texas Commercial Association of Realtors presented the CTCAR Star Award for 2011 to Cathy Coneway. Ms. Coneway was a founding member of both CTCAR and CREW and is the 2012 chair elect of the Austin Board of Realtors. The award was established to formally honor a member of the organization who meets or exceeds the highest expectations in community service, real estate association service, professional reputation and active participation in the commercial real estate industry.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Austin - The Austin Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women announced that Kristin Chiles, Real Estate Project Manager for Google, will serve as the 2012 President. Prior to her oversight of real estate for Google, she worked for CB Richard Ellis for 6 years. Ms. Chiles joined CREW Austin in 2005 serving as the co-chair of the Sponsorship Committee and volunteering on CREW Careers, Special Events and Golf committees over the years.

INDUSTRIAL: San Antonio - 4M Realty's Michael Weiss and Sandi Leone represented the buyer, Bexar County, Texas, in the purchase of the 42,074 SF industrial building located at 1103 South Frio in San Antonio from the seller, Society of St. Vincent de Paul of the Archdiocese of SA.
INDUSTRIAL: San Antonio - 4M Realty's Michael Weiss and Nick Prater represented the landlord, CPS Energy, in the lease of 49.762 acres to Platinum Energy Solutions at Braunig Lake Industrial Park in San Antonio.
INDUSTRIAL: San Antonio - Nick's Custom Woodworking leased 5,750 SF at Union Stock Yards Building, 2022 South Brazos in San Antonio. Ed Bruce with DH Realty Partners represented the landlord, Union Stock Yards San Antonio, Inc.

LAND: New Braunfels - Rockspring Capital announced the purchase of 117 finished or fully entitled residential lots in New Braunfels by one of its affiliates. The investment was made on behalf of Rockspring Capital's seventh fund, Opportunity Land Fund No. 7, L.P. The nearly 40-acre land parcel containing the residential lots is located near the intersection of Seguin Avenue and Klein Road.
LAND: San Antonio - Southern Moving & Storage Company purchased 724,969 SF of land at 1004 Kono in San Antonio. Terri Rubiola with DH Realty Partners represented the seller, Estate of Jack Roth. |
MULTIFAMILY: Austin - Hendricks & Partners announced the sale of Silvervale Crossing-Brookstone (840 units), located at 8800-8900 North Interstate 35 in Austin. The property includes the 336-unit Silvervale Crossing and the 504-unit Brookstone. The seller was GE Capital Realty, Inc. of Addison. The buyer was FPA Multifamily, LLC, a California LLC of San Francisco. The transaction was negotiated by George Deuillet III of Hendricks & Partners and Ellen Muskin of Muskin Commercial, on behalf of the seller.

OFFICE: Austin - HFF announced that it has arranged acquisition financing totaling $33 million on behalf of Divco West Acquisitions, LLC. The acquired properties were Prominent Pointe I & II, two adjacent Class A office buildings totaling 261,243 SF at 8310 Capital of Texas Highway. The HFF team representing the borrower was led by Doug Opalka.
OFFICE: San Antonio - Travis Commercial Real Estate Services signed CACI, Inc. to a new lease of 17,400 SF of office space at 4560 Lockhill Selma in San Antonio's Northwest submarket. The 63,800 SF office building is 100 percent leased. Lisa Villarreal with Travis Commercial represented the landlord; CACI, Inc. was represented by Paul Barker with Endura Real Estate.
