HOTEL: Austin - Vista Host, Inc. has acquired the troubled condo project at 17th & Lavaca in Austin from Service Life, the foreclosing lender, after fifteen months of negotiations. The hotel will be converted to an 8-story Hampton Inn & Suites serving the Capitol, state agencies, and the vast University of Texas campus, and is located within easy walking distance. Representing Vista Host was Ray Hankamer of Hankamer & Associates, a Houston-based commercial real estate broker.
