ANNOUNCEMENT: Houston - Hines announced that Russell Hodges has joined the firm as a Leasing Representative in its SW Regional office at BG Group Place in Downtown Houston. He will support Hines' leasing and marketing activities throughout the Houston metropolitan region. Hodges was formerly a Leasing Manager with Crescent Real Estate Equities where he assisted in the leasing and marketing of a four million-square-foot office complex in Downtown Houston.
ANNOUNCEMENT: NAI Houston has announced the addition of Edward Bane as a Senior Vice President to their Industrial Brokerage Services Team. Edward brings extensive leasing and management experience to NAI Houston, having represented institutional owners over the last 15 years. INDUSTRIAL: Sugar Land - First Transit, Inc. has leased 7,200 SF of warehouse space at 1719B & 1723B Eldridge Road in Sugar Land. Larry Indermuehle and Jane Holloway with ICO Commercial represented the landlord. Glenn Mireles with CBRE represented the tenant.

LAND: Baytown - Coldwell Banker Commercial United, Realtors has announced the sale of 89 acres of commercial land located at the south corner of State Highway 146 and State Highway 99 in Baytown. Mark McGinley of Coldwell Banker Commercial United, Realtors marketed the property on behalf of the seller, Southwestern National Bank.
LAND: Houston - HFF has closed the sale of a 65-acre, bank-owned tract of land along Beltway 8 in northeast Houston to Trillium Group. The property consists of two sites, a 64.06-acre site at the intersection of Beltway 8 and West Lake Houston Parkway, and a 0.85-acre pad site on the southern side of West Lake Houston Parkway. The HFF investment sales team representing the seller, City Bank, was led by Davis Adams.
LAND: Katy - Alan Parker Properties, L.P. has represented HCB National Texas LLC in the sale of 9.22 acres to Alila Investments. The site is located along the west line of N. Fry at Younglake Blvd. in Katy. Jim Morris of Greater Houston Commerical Properties represented the buyer.
LAND: Houston - Vickery-Aldine Bender, LLC, a United Equities sponsored entity, acquired 4.0013 acres of land at the NEC of Vickery Drive and Aldine Bender Road in Houston from TOMMIO, Inc. to be developed into a multiple building industrial project totaling 42,720 SF. Tom Condon, Jr. with BETZ Commercial Brokerage, Inc. represented the seller and Anthony Clay with United Equities represented the buyer.

MULTIFAMILY: Conroe - Allied Realty has broken ground on The Retreat, a new 210-unit luxury apartment community located in Conroe with a targeted opening date of early fall 2012. The Retreat is located at 2951 North Loop 336 West, within 40 miles from downtown Houston. The property will be managed by Orion Real Estate Services, Inc., a division of Allied Realty.

RETAIL: Cypress - Hunington Properties, Inc. announced the sale of the 39,757 SF Shoppes at Fry Road Shopping Center, located on the SEC of Highway 290 and Fry Road in Cypress. Philip T. Mullett of Hunington Properties, Inc. represented the purchaser.
