James Matoushek  

ANNOUNCEMENT: Trammell Crow Company announced it has promoted James H. Matoushek to Chief Financial Officer. He will be responsible for the Company's Accounting and Finance functions, which include internal and external financial reporting as well as budgeting and forecasting. He will report to Daniel Queenan, Chief Executive Officer of Trammell Crow Company and Arlin Gaffner, Chief Accounting Officer for CBRE Group, Inc., TCC's parent company. Jim has been with TCC since 1987, beginning his career as the Senior Controller for the Central Texas region.  

 Paul Noetzel

 

ANNOUNCEMENT: CBRE, Inc. announced the promotion of Paul Noetzel to Director of Asset Services for the Central Texas region, which includes an approximately eleven million SF real estate management portfolio in Austin, San Antonio and El Paso. Paul offers 25 years of management experience in commercial real estate. He joined CBRE in 2006 as part of the Trammell Crow Company merger. He was previously employed with Lincoln Property Company as the Director of Property Management.

INDUSTRIAL: DelStar leased 80,000 SF of industrial space at 220 E. Saint Elmo Road in Austin from Twin Oaks Association, Ltd. Jerry Heare, SIOR with NAI REOC Austin represented the tenant.

 

INDUSTRIAL: DCV Development purchased a 64,733 SF industrial building at 1000 Civic Center Loop in San Marcos from SH Leggit Co. Jerry Heare, SIOR with NAI REOC Austin represented the buyer.

 

Rilling Road

INDUSTRIAL: Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services has announced the sale of Rilling Road Industrial, a 40,800 SF industrial property located at 1303 Rilling Road in San Antonio. Joshua B. Swank and Greg Gaynor in Marcus & Millichap's San Antonio and Austin offices marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a private investor. The buyer, a private investor, was also secured by Joshua B. Swank and Greg Gaynor.

 

 

INDUSTRIAL: Flight Safety International, Inc. leased 21,600 SF of industrial space at Metric 10, 9701 Metric Blvd. in Austin, from Met 10B-96, Ltd. Rob Eaves and Jerry Heare, SIOR with NAI REOC Austin represented the tenant.

 

San Pedro

LAND: Jacob Rubiola Properties, Ltd. purchased 9,098 SF of commercial land at 410 San Pedro in San Antonio. Terri Rubiola with DH Realty Partners represented the seller, 410 San Pedro Realty, LLC. 

 

 

University Towers 

MULTIFAMILY: HFF announced that it has arranged $25 million in financing for University Towers, a 184-unit, 641-bed, off-campus, dormitory-style student housing project located at 801 West 24th Street serving the University of Texas in Austin. Working on behalf of Cardinal Group Investments, LLC, HFF placed the adjustable-rate loan with a national debt fund. The HFF team representing the borrower was led by Pat Burger, Tim Wright and Doug Opalka.  

OFFICE: GSA for IRS leased 46,785 SF of office space at Cedar Bend Professional Center, 12309 N. MoPac Expwy. in Austin, from Live Oak-Gottesman. Kurt VanderMeulen and Josh Hubka, CCIM with NAI REOC Austin represented the tenant.

Southcross Station 

 

RETAIL: SRS Real Estate Partners announced the sale of the Southcross Station shopping center. The property, which is located at 3601 West William Cannon Drive in Austin, was a former Hollywood Video that was converted to a multi-tenant retail property. Jason Middlebrook of SRS Real Estate Partners represented the seller in the transaction.

 

 

 

RETAIL: Steele's leased 15,952 SF at Taylor Plaza, 3100 N. Main Street in Taylor. Cole Brodhead of Retail Solutions represented the landlord.

 

RETAIL: Soto Japanese restaurant leased 4,247 SF at Lakeline Plaza in Cedar Park. Carter Bailey of Retail Solutions represented the landlord.

 

RETAIL: Marakesh Cafe leased 2,000 SF at Steck Town Center in Austin. Martin Turner of Retail Solutions represented the tenant and Alan Rust of Retail Solutions represented the landlord.

 

RETAIL: Clutch Creative leased the remaining 1,488 SF at 4115 Guadalupe in Austin. The building is now 100% leased thanks to Andrew Perkel of Retail Solutions representing the landlord and Mitchel Hall of Leasing Space representing the tenant.
