We hope to see you next week in Arlington for our business/recognition luncheon.  You may still register for the luncheon on our website.  The Nominating Committee will present a proposed slate of officers for 2011/2012.  We will have a light discussion regarding S.B. 100, to gage the direction or thoughts of municipalities.

If you have not already, you may want to register for TML's webinar that will be held on June 29 or July 12.  The cost is $60.00 and limited to the first 80 registrants.  TML legal staff and representatives from the Secretary of State Office will provide a one hour webinar to cover:
  • Election Dates
  • Use of electronic voting machines
  • Staggered terms of office for the Mayor & City Council
  • Length of terms of office

Announced Retirement
Susan Crim 
Euless City Secretary Susan Crim has announced her retirement.  Our chapter is losing a remarkable member!  The Board wishes Susan the very best in her future endeavors. 
  
The City of Euless invites you to join them as they celebrate and recognize Susan Crim upon her retirement.  The reception is scheduled for Wednesday, June 29, 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Euless City Hall.  The presentation will begin at 3:00 p.m.

City Secretary Shuffle

Kim Sutter appointed City Secretary in the City of Euless

Euless is proud to announce that Kim Sutter, Deputy City Secretary since August, 2009, has been appointed City Secretary effective July 1, 2011.  Kim previously served as City Secretary in Westlake and Richland Hills after beginning her municipal government career as the Mayor's Assistant and Senior Administrative Secretary in the City Secretary's office in Irving.  Kim is the nominee to be the incoming president of NTMCA, and has been an outstanding officer the past few years.  In addition to recertifying as a Texas Registered Municipal Clerk last year, she received the Dorothy F. Byrd Scholarship, and recently graduated from the HEB Leadership Program.  Euless is proud to have Kim as our next City Secretary.

Amy Piukana appointed Town Secretary in the Town of Prosper

The Town of Propser appointed Amy Piukana to Town Secretary.  Amy previously served as Assistant to the City Secretary/Records Manager in Hurst.  This is Amy's first post as Town Secretary, please join the Board in congratulating Amy.

We are an awesome chapter...let's lead and be a model for our sister chapters.
