SBN invites you to join us for our Tenth Annual SBN Holiday Party at WBUR on Tuesday evening December 6th. WBUR host of Here & Now, Robin Young, will interview Radio Boston co-hosts Anthony Brooks and Meghna Chakrabarti!
 
Following the success of last years event,  this years party and auction is A Celebration of All Things Local- local food, local drinks, local radio, local businesses and local auction items! (Details of auction items to follow shortly.)

Meghna Chakrabarti, Co-host - Radio Boston Meghna_WBUR

Meghna previously reported on New England transportation and energy issues for WBUR's news department, and served as fill-in host for Here & Now, WBUR's national midday show. She has won awards from both the Associated Press and the Radio Television News Directors Association for her writing, hard news reporting, and use of sound. She produced and directed WBUR's national news and talk program, On Point, for five years. In 2006, she spent 10 months as a fellow at the Metcalf Institute for Environmental Reporting.

   

Anthony Brooks, Co-host - Radio Boston Anthony_WBUR

Anthony brings more than 25 years of experience in public radio, working as a producer, editor, reporter and host for WBUR and NPR. For years, Brooks has worked as a Boston-based reporter for NPR, covering regional issues across New England, including politics, the economy, education, criminal justice and urban affairs, Brooks has won numerous broadcast awards, including the Edward R. Murrow Regional Broadcasters Award, the AP Broadcasters Award, the Ohio State Award, the Robert F. Kennedy Award for best radio feature, and the Robert L. Kozik Award for environmental reporting for his Soundprint documentary, "Chernobyl Revisited."

 

Robin Young, Host - Here & Now Robin_WBUR

Robin brings over 25 years of broadcast experience to her role as host of Here & Now. She is a Peabody Award-winning documentary filmmaker who has also reported for NBC, CBS and ABC television, and for several years was substitute host and correspondent for The Today Show. Robin has received several Emmy Awards for her television work, as well as cable's Ace Award, the Religious Public Relations Council's Wilbur Award and the National Conference of Christians and Jews Gold Award. She has also received radio's regional Edward R. Murrow Award.
