Expiration Dates Arriving for VisaScreen
April 7, 2008
Greetings!

The following is an important notice regarding VisaScreen Certificate holders who have not obtained permanent residence in the United States.

VisaScreen Certificate Holders Urged to Check Expiration Dates

clock
The Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) issued a special News Alert for Healthcare Recruiters on April 3, 2008, urging VisaScreen Certificate holders who have not obtained permanent residence in the USA, to check the expiration dates on their certificates.

VisaScreen certification is valid for 5 years, and those that were issued in 2003 will expire this year. We link below to the instructions for renewal, as well as appropriate timeframe recommendations for taking the English Language Proficiency Test (that is valid for 2 years) when going through the VisaScreen process.  Additionally, approximate country-specific processing timelines for CGFNS/ICHP certifications have been provided.

We encourage you to work closely with your staffing professionals to take advantage of the best timing available for processing your certifications with CGFNS and ICHP.
