NURSE BRIDGE AMENDMENT UPDATE

As an update to our recent NewsFLASH of 10/24/2007 and our November newsletter, the Bridge Amendment providing for 61,000 additional immigrant visas for Schedule A nurses, physical therapists and their families failed to survive the Senate/House Conference Committee. As a result, retrogression continues. Efforts continue behind the scenes seeking remedial legislation with a chance that the same or similar amendment may be presented in a future budget bill.

As usual, we will keep you informed as we become aware of any and all changes concerning this topic. We encourage our readers to contact their representatives and voice their opinions on this important issue.
