December's Cow of the Month is Bo. She is 4 1/2 years old and has produced 48,969 pounds of milk in her lifetime. Bo is very special - her quality dairy traits make her the best-looking cow in the herd. She was bought as an embryo from Maryland and implanted into one of our cows. We didn't know if the calf would be a bull or a heifer, so we were lucky to get her! In her adult life, Bo has also had embryo transfer work done on her, so we have had two heifers and two bulls from her embryos. She has also had three calves naturally - one heifer and two bulls.

Bo is special because she is a Red Carrier, which means she can produce Red & White Holsteins, not just Black & White Holsteins.

Bo is a calm, gentle individual who loves getting attention. She loves haircuts, showers and getting photographed!

The Community Church of Hudson is presenting a Christmas Musical Drama, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," on Sunday, Dec. 20, at 10:10 a.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 7:00 p.m.

Four members of the Hansen family are involved in the performance. Join us in this Christmas celebration! The church is at 226 Eldora Rd., Hudson.
