Kitchen Challenge
It's always a thrill to be involved in
a total transformation!
|
|
This Mansfield kitchen began as a very
outdated space with 12"x12" tile floor, pickled cabinets and practically no
storage. The family's Divine challenge was to create a much more updated space
that had far more storage and an open feeling. Divine transformed the space
with warm woods, cabinets that seamlessly blend with paneled appliances and
rise to the ceiling, hardwood floors, a dramatic hood, two-level island of
granite and glass, enhanced lighting and a contemporary media wall with a slim
console below that also envelopes wine storage...this kitchen works for everyone
involved!

Plan Your Non-Profit Event at Divine
Area organizations enjoy free use of Divine Showroom
|
The Westborough Newcomers Club and
Hopkinton Moms Club recently hosted evening events at Divine Kitchen's Showroom
on Lyman Street in Westborough.
"Divine's beautiful and spacious
shop lent itself well to accommodating our
40 guests," said Valerie Ramey, the chair of the Westborough
Newcomers Socials Committee. "It was an elegant atmosphere for the event
and everyone had a wonderful time. They let us use their wine glasses and
dishes, not to mention the free use of the space, which reduced costs to the
club...I would recommend this space to anyone."
"We love hosting non-profit groups,"
said Barsoum. "They are able to have key events for their organization in a
comfortable location with two live kitchens and we are able to spread the word
about our design/build business. It's a win-win situation."

Divine Design Tip:
Mix Countertop Materials for a Rich
Look
|
|
Looking for new ways to add visual
interest to your kitchen design? Consider mixing countertop materials to create
a mosaic of high-touch areas. In one recent project, Divine used Lagos Blue
CaeserStone Quartz for perimeter countertops and topped the island with 2"
thick custom cherry. The result was rich and artful, helping to create a
feeling of "rustic elegance" for the homeowner. While the name Lagos Blue may
not sound like part of a warm palette, it actually has the appearance of
antique soapstone with none of the maintenance issues. Comprised of 93% natural
quartz, CaesarStone Quartz surfaces offer a great combination of form and
function, allowing for a more diverse, durable, and practical countertop
surfacing material than granite or marble. With its stain, scratch, and
heat-resistant properties, CaesarStone might be the right choice for your next
project. Allow Divine to help you select
a few complimentary surfaces to enrich your look!

Summer Research Means Fall Harvest
|
|
If you are thinking about celebrating
the holidays in a new kitchen or treating your guests to a new bath when they
visit this fall, now's the time to do your research. According to the national
retail census, kitchen and bath remodeling products have been most often
purchased from June-August over the past four years, to make way for fall
remodeling.
"Often homeowners think they will be
able to get the cabinets, lighting and appliances they want within a few days
of ordering," said Mariette Barsoum, owner of Divine Kitchens. "But, it may
take several weeks to get the piece that make your project visually and
financially come together."
The Divine Kitchens team recommends
beginning research now to accomplish
the design goal you have for holiday season 2009. A great first step is looking
through magazines and attending a free Divine Kitchens seminar. Here's the
summer schedule...we'd love to see you!

Barsoum Trains on Latest Gaggenau
|
|
Divine owner, Mariette Barsoum, has
just returned from an intensive training at Gaggenau's new, state-of-the-art
training kitchen in Scottsdale, Arizona. Designed for an elite group of 15
designers from throughout the U.S, the hands-on training offered important
details about specification, installation and technical details of Gaggenau's
newest appliances. In order to best understand the amazing features of these
appliances, Barsoum did extensive cooking in Scottsdale. Her favorite recipe?
Ribs in the combi-steam oven. "In less than one hour, these ribs were falling
off the bone!," she said. If you'd like a demonstration of the latest Gaggenau
appliances, call to make an appointment today at 508-366-5670.
