Mini-Grant Funding Opportunity Announced!

The Missouri Girls Collaborative STEM Initiative (MO Girls CSI), part of the National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP), announces its Spring 2014 Mini-Grant funding opportunity.

Mini-Grants will be awarded to girl-serving science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) focused programs to support collaboration, address gaps and overlaps in service, and share exemplary practices. Programs from K-12 education, afterschool programs, higher education, community agencies, and businesses are encouraged to apply.  Mini-Grants are a small amount of seed funding and are not intended to fully fund entire projects. The maximum Mini-Grant award is $1,000.

Important Dates:

  • 5/15/14 - Application Deadline
  • 6/12/14- Awards Announced
  • June through July 2014 - Award recipients receive funds from National Girls Collaborative office
  • July through December 2014 - Project Implementation Period

Mini-Grant recipients will be expected to present on their experiences implementing their projects in Fall 2014. The location and method of presentations is to be determined, but will be held in a central location or electronically to minimize travel costs. If funding allows, MO Girls CSI may help defray travel costs.
