HOPE IS HERE
Where can a teen boy turn when home is lost and your world crumbles?  One can turn to the Lord through AG COMPACT.  Your prayers and support help make the difference!

When *Decker came to Hillcrest he didn't expect to find help and hope.  He told Regina Way (a Hillcrest houseparent) that he had not been to a place like Hillcrest where "people are so nice."  "*Decker thanked Baron and me being so nice to him.  It melted my heart," noted Regina.

One of the hallmarks of Hillcrest ministry is Christian community.  And each week the community worships God at church.  One day *Decker inquired about giving his heart to the Lord and being baptized.  The Way's explained that baptism is an act of obedience to the Lord after one surrenders in repentance to God.  Immediately, he said, "Well, let's do it."  Baron and *Decker knelt before God and prayed to the Lord Jesus Christ.  *Decker asked Jesus to be his Lord and Savior.  A few days later, he was baptized by Pastor John at church.

When family and home crumbles for children and youth the Assemblies of God has ministry ready to serve.  Thank God for the supporters, friends, and those that are praying who make this ministry happen for kids like *Decker!

The verses of Jeremiah 29:11-13 (ESV) again ring aloud, "11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart."

Please continue to pray for the children, youth, staff, and ministry!  God is redeeming fatherlessness and family...one by one.  Opportunities of hope, healing, forgiveness, and life abound during the summer months of ministry through camps, trips, services, and more.

Thank you for caring,
Jay Mooney, Executive Director

We highlighted the Ways, *Decker's houseparents, in one of our past newsletters.  They are about to pass the 3 year mark on our COMPACT Team.  You can learn more about their story here.

MINISTRY CENTER ROOF UPDATE
Repairs have continued on the roof of our Ministry Center.  The top flat roof repair is almost complete and the repair to the outer shingle layer will begin soon.  Repairs had to begin immediately but the support to pay for the project is still desperately needed.  Please consider giving towards this project.  No gift is too small.

A promo video provides great perspective on the high value the Ministry Center brings to our campus.  View the video to learn more about this project. A downloadable version that you can share with others can be found at the website link below.
