WE ARE ON MISSION!
Assemblies of God COMPACT® Family Services ministry is growing in scope and services to redeem the fatherless and family!
  • COMPACT® Hillcrest Children's Home (including:)
    • COMPACT® Hillcrest Residential Treatment
    • COMPACT® Hillcrest Respite Care
    • COMPACT® Hillcrest Transitional Living Center
  • COMPACT® Highlands Maternity Home & Placement Center
  • COMPACT® Therapeutic Foster Care
In 2014, we served 81 children.  Last year (2015) we served 115 children, a 30% increase over 2014.  This year we have 65 children in the arms of our daily compassionate Christian care. In 2016, we are poised to reach and see TWICE as many children and families redeemed than just two years ago.  To God be the Glory!!!

Because of the generosity of faithful financial supporters we are reaching and ministering to more children and families!  Salvation is here every week.  You are changing lives for eternity.

We are On Mission!   On Mission is our 2016 team ministry theme.

In John 19:28 (NLT) the Bible reports of Jesus' death on the cross and says, "Jesus knew that his mission was now finished..." (italic emphasis mine).

In Acts 12:25 (NLT) it says, "When Barnabas and Saul had finished their
mission to Jerusalem..." (italic emphasis mine).

In order to finish mission, one must be ON MISSION.  We are focused on the mission of redeeming the fatherless and family!

When little *Henry came to Hillcrest, he needed trusted love and healing care.  He is getting it.  The heart of this little boy is learning to trust Jesus.  Recently, he was given a toy helicopter as a gift.  Days later he had the opportunity to shop for personal needs.  Selflessly he asked if a portion could be designated to provide a toy helicopter like his for another orphaned boy who likes to play with *Henry and lives in the same cottage.  I cried tears of joy as I watched *Henry lovingly give to another boy.  *Henry has the heart of Jesus growing in him!

On behalf of the entire ministry team, THANK YOU FOR YOUR FAITHFUL PRAYERS AND GIFTS!  May the Lord greatly bless you, your family, your work, and your church with His bountiful love, grace, and supply!

On Mission,
Jay Mooney,
Executive Director

PROJECT SUPPORT NEEDED!
Vital ministry projects are in motion for this spring and summer.
Is God leading you to help?
Three projects are central to our daily redemptive mission for vulnerable children and families.
MINISTRY CENTER ROOF REPAIR - $147,000
AG Giving Project #890068
  • The ministry center is the support base for all the ministry homes on campus. Health services, family therapy, and other clinical ministry operations for children and youth occur daily in the Ministry Center.  We are asking, seeking and knocking for God's supply for this immediate spring repair need.
  • The three-story, 24,000 square foot ministry building built in 1998 has a leaking roof and needs IMMEDIATE repair.  The roof requires professional commercial repair for both the flat top and the shingled sides.
  • Initially the repair plan was to replace the falling shingles first and then tackle the more costly flat top.  However, it is necessary to repair both portions.
  • BGMC approved project support of $40,000 for the shingled repair.  Approximately $4,400 of loving BGMC gifts have been given to date.  If you and your church would like to give through BGMC for this project, you can designate your gift to

REMODEL INTERN APARTMENT - $39,000
(HARDCASTLE COTTAGE BASEMENT)
AG Giving Project #890067
  • This project will renovate the basement level of the Hardcastle Cottage to provide an Intern Apartment housing up to four university or graduate level social work students.  Recently, AG COMPACT established a formal Intern Program agreement with Evangel University.  These interns will assist the daily healing ministry to children and youth while fulfilling necessary in-service hours for their degree program.
  • In the past, the basement level of Hardcastle Cottage was used for staff residence and other purposes.  Due to time and wear the area is no longer suitable for use other than storage without renovation.  The exciting new Intern Program needs this renovated space.
  • Recently a generous $20,000 lead gift was made to kick-start this project.  We are believing God for the matching support by June 2016.

COTTAGE REPAIRS Estimated 2016 need is $8,000
AG Giving Project #890071
  • Cottage repair is regular when serving more than a hundred children and youth annually.  Regular repairs include appliances, bedding, painting, furnishings, fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, and the like.
  • Ten church teams from across the nation are scheduled to be On Mission to help us this summer.  Some will provide skilled labor for the Hardcastle Cottage project while others will provide support with the other needs.

SPRING CLOTHING FOR STUDENTS
It is time to take our COMPACT students shopping to purchase their spring/summer clothing.  With 65 kids on campus, this is a large undertaking.  We have opportunities for people like you to partner with us. The cost is approx. $250 per student and includes their full clothing needs including clothes, shoes, socks, and under garments.
