It is almost back-to-school time for fatherless and foster kids in our care. In just a few weeks students here will return to new classes with new teachers. Along with all the excitement of a new school year comes the extra expense required to prepare the children and youth for a successful year.
In preparation for school our students need tangible back-to-school things like shoes, clothing and supplies that without your help we cannot supply. No one likes to start school in old clothes or a used backpack.
With growing young children and youth we know it is hard to purchase shoes and clothing without the child trying them on. Therefore, we ask you to please prayerfully consider sending a check, designated for back to school, or gift cards such as Wal-Mart, Visa, Dillards, Vanity, American Eagle, JCPenny's, Sears, TJ Maxx, Shoe Carnival, etc. Students will be able to find just the right items and sizes needed with the assistance of our loving staff.
You can bring a smile to the face of a child as he/she walks into school with new items that you helped them obtain. Let's help these students get a great start to the 2015 school year!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office. You may reach Richelle at 501-262-1660 or via email at rwingo@agfsa.org.

One of our students has a passion for writing and asked if she could share one of her pieces with our Newsletter audience. She is so excited and can hardly wait to see it published. We hope you enjoy it as well.
Some days when I cry
I question why I'm alive
Because I don't know what I did
To deserve a life like this
But I know that if I trust
In the power of God's love
Then He will take me home
One day to where I belong
Then I will be soaring on mighty wings
And no sorrow will ever come to me
*The name given is not the actual name of the child but a screen name chosen by the child to protect his/her identity.

Over the past couple of month we have shared the exciting journey of some of our Hillcrest Teens having the opportunity to go to National Fine Arts in Orlando, FL. Today we are beyond thrilled to announce that we received the FULL donation amount needed in order to send these teens. Thanks to your response and generosity, these 6 teens will have the trip of a lifetime. Thank you for investing. Exciting things are happening here at COMP ACT and we are blessed to have supporters along side us for the journey.
