MEET THE FORDS
Will and Keri Ford, Silas, Selah, Shiloh, Solomon

This month we are excited to feature former house parent and current case manager, Will Ford. Will and his wife, Keri, started their ministry at COMPACT Family Services as house parents in 2009 after learning about Hillcrest from their pastor while living in Abilene, Texas. Will says that he knew that God had been calling him to work with kids for a while so as soon as they found out about Hillcrest, they started looking in to the ministry.

Upon scheduling their interview for the house parent position, Will and Keri decided to dedicate themselves to a period of prayer and fasting to be certain in their hearts that they were supposed to come and serve at Hillcrest. "We knew that if we were offered a position, it would be God's way of telling us that this was the path He had ordained for us to take," says Will.  READ MORE

SPONSORSHIP CHALLENGE CONTINUES

This winter we embraced and launched a new Sponsorship Challenge for our child sponsorship program.   We are looking for a "Sponsor a Day @ a Dollar a Day."  Our goal is 100 new sponsors by April and we are off to a great start.

Are you a sponsor?

Would your family or friend be a sponsor?

What about your small group, ministry, or church?

Our ministry is 97% donor based, so faithful sponsorship is essential to help us redeem fatherless children and fragmented families.

Be a sponsor today by visiting our Sponsorship page or contacting our offices to receive a Sponsorship packet.

CAMPUS TOUR

We recently updated a section of our website to include a picture tour of our campus. If you have never visited our campus or seen our incredible facilities, we invite you to take a look.

Our campus started as a single unit Children's Home in 1944 and has grown to be what it is today, a beautiful 65-acre campus in Hot Springs, AR.  Each year, we have been able to develop, remodel, and grow our facilitates to even greater measures thanks to supporters and visionaries who have blessed us.

COMPACT PRESENTED AT NLRC

In January, our executive director, Jay Mooney presented COMPACT Family Services ministry at the National Leadership and Resource Center (AG Headquarters) chapel in Springfield, Missouri.   While continuing the ministries of Hillcrest, Highlands, TLC, and Adoption services, COMPACT is dreaming and partnering to expand delivery of a proven, research-based foster care resource that ministers from prevention through family permanency.   Watch and listen to Jay's presentation on the ministries and stories of Assemblies of God Family Services, Dba., COMPACT and visit our website to learn more and how to partner with us.

CHARISMA MAGAZINE ARTICLE
This month, COMPACT was highlighted in an article inside Charisma Magazine titled, "When We Take Them In," by Anahid Schweikert.  The article sheds light on the epidemic of "fatherless" children in America.

There is a movement quietly growing that has potential for a cultural shift. COMPACT in partnership with FaithBridge Foster Care is part of this shift via the research and evidence proven FaithBridge Community of Care strategy for family restoration.

One of our former residents, Dakota, was adopted through the services at COMPACT
Family Services and his story is also highlighted in the article.
