MEET THE HIRCOCKS Nebraska natives, Bill and Jan Hircock, are celebrating their 10th year of volunteer service at COMPACT Family Services this year. During their time at COMPACT Family Services, Bill and Jan have touched the lives of countless children, as well as staff.
Current volunteers for the U.S. Mission America Placement Service (MAPS) since 1994, this servant-hearted couple had their hearts moved for this ministry while at a national convention. Bill states that he had been having heart problems that caused him to have to leave his local teaching position, leaving Bill and Jan in search of a new home. WINTER SPONSORSHIP CHALLENGEWe are launching a fresh start on our child sponsorship program with a new Winter Sponsorship Challenge. We are looking for a "Sponsor a Day @ a Dollar a Day." Our collective goal is to have 100 new sponsors by April and we are off to a great start. During the Christmas season, our COMPACT staff kicked off the challenge with 18 new sponsors. How can you help us achieve the other 72 sponsors this Winter? Are you a sponsor? Would your family or friend be a sponsor? What about your small group, ministry, or church?
Our ministry is 97% donor based, so your faithful sponsorship is a vital aspect of caring for the fatherless and fragmented.
Be a sponsor today by visiting our Sponsorship page or contacting our offices to receive a Sponsorship packet.

TRACTOR SUPPLYOur campus was the recent target to some area theft. One night in December, our Kubota Tractor was taken from our property as well as the bucket and front end loader, which were both attached at the time. This piece of equipment is one that our ministry is dependent on to fulfill many of the duties that a 65-acre campus would require.
The total loss we faced totals approximately $30,000. We recently received word from our insurance company as well as a generous discount from a tractor company for a replacement tractor. Unfortunately, with the insurance money as well as the discount, we still lack the necessary funds to replace our tractor.
Please consider making a one time donation towards the replacement of this much needed equipment. We need approximately $7,000 to fill the gap. You can make a tax-deductible donation utilizing our online giving tool or sending a check by mail. Please indicate on your giving, "tractor replacement," so we can assure proper fund allotment. CHRISTMAS CHEER Christmas is always a special time of year at COMPACT Family Services; one that doesn't happen until January. Due to our kids being able to spend the Christmas break with their families and host families, Hillcrest has a long time tradition of waiting until the day before our students return to school after Christmas break to open gifts. This year, on Monday, January 6th, our students and their houseparents each celebrated big with the story of Christmas, gifts, snacks, and drinks. Squeals and delight were shared and you couldn't miss the room full of smiles as each cottage celebrated on this special day.
THANK YOU to all of our sponsors, supporters, community, and faithful friends who make Christmas come together for COMPACT Family Services. We truly couldn't do this without you each year.
