The Decade of Difference: 2020 Initiative (DoD) is a ten-year community initiative designed to prepare our youth to be contributing and productive members in our society, community, and economy. In partnership with 24 school districts, our business partners and countless individuals, we are moving the needle forward through a committed focus on Early Success, Youth Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, College/Career Resources, Parent/Community, and Professional Development/Teacher Training.

You are receiving this newsletter because of your shared commitment to children and our community. We hope this communique will serve to provide you with information about the "good things" taking place around the county related to the work of the DoD as well as provide you with some insights as to where you might connect to this work..

If we are to achieve the goals of the initiative, we cannot do it alone. The change we hope for comes from people like you and me who not only see the problems but also seize opportunities to fan the spark towards improvement. We are moving forward with our efforts with a sense of urgency, with an entrepreneurial spirit, and with a genuine commitment to meaningful collaborative partnerships to address an array of problems with positive, effective solutions.

It is my joy to coordinate this effort towards systemic improvement and I am so proud of our team and our partners for moving fantastic ideas forward with intentional action.
