The Real WHY of Marketing Failures
Marketing sounds so simple - you find a need and fill it. A fool-proof formula. What could possibly go wrong?
Apparently quite a bit, since so many people are needing business right now. If you're in that boat, watch this week's video below. It may nail the real reason for lack of prosperity.
Maybe you'll watch it and think "That's too simple, it has to be more complex than that. After all there's the lousy economy, crooked politics, dishonest competition and..."
Those are very popular "Wrong WHYs" that result in further declines in income and profits. One common thread is they're all "over there" in areas where you have no control.
The good news is that if you know what you're doing, YOU can control your own statistics. Your success or lack of it lies in your hands.
I'm putting something into your hands with the video below that is practically guaranteed to make a difference. Watch this vNewsletter and put it into action TODAY:
| The Three Most Important Words in Marketing |
You Must Get Their Attention
It's fascinating that so many businesses put their hopes in online marketing. It's vital and can be very effective.
But it can give the illusion that you're getting promotion in front of prospects when they never see it. Examples include having a great website with no traffic. Or sending out spammy emails that get routed to junk mail folders or caught by spam filters. These look like outflow - but are they?
Most offline promo meets a similar fate - the "round file" (trash can).
So I'm going radical on you today and suggesting that you something you've maybe never done. Get the attention of your prospects before you start pitching!
Lumpy Mail Works
At the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles I attended an $8,000 3-day workshop with marketing legend Jay Abraham, with whom I'd worked when I was Marketing Director at a Beverly Hills ad agency.
The entrepreneur sitting next to me told me about something more valuable than the lessons I learned from Jay. She'd bought 100 plastic doll feet and put them in envelopes with a letter saying she was trying to get a foot in the door to introduce her service. She got their attention and 14 calls!
