Serving you better in HR
We are taking the next steps to building a global, sustainable approach to HR to better support you over the coming months. First, we are optimizing the way we support you through Centers of Expertise, HR Business Partners and HR Shared Service Centers. Our Centers of Expertise will set HR strategy and develop solutions in key areas while HR Business Partners will implement HR strategy locally interfacing directly with leadership. In addition, you can get the HR information you need, when you need it, through HR Shared Services Centers. The Service Centers will provide one point of contact for you to ask your HR questions.
Another component of our HR transformation is empowering you with technology. We are launching new functionality in Workday, our global people data system. Managers can easily recruit top talent with new self-service functionality, new hires will share a common onboarding experience and AES people can manage their time with new absence management functionality.
Launch dates for the new service delivery model and the new technology features will vary by SBU and, in some cases, by country. Additional information will be provided closer to Go-Live for targeted audiences.

AES included in the DJSI North America Index for the third year in a row
AES was named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for North America (NA) in recognition of the company's sustainable business practices and performance for the third consecutive year.
AES is one of the four Electric Utilities recognized along with the 145 companies from different sectors that comprise the DJSI NA. At the global level, out of the 90 Electric Utilities invited to participate in the assessment, only 20 Electric Utilities were selected to be included in at least one of the Dow Jones Sustainability indices. AES (DJSI NA) and AES Gener (DJSI Chile) are two of them.
Scarlett Alvarez, VP and Chief Stakeholder and Sustainability Officer, said, "Our ranking was 74, which represents a four position improvement compared to last year. This achievement is made possible thanks to the efforts and initiative of the entire company, represented by the Sustainability Working Group, which includes people from our Corporate functions and our Strategic Business Units (SBUs) in the areas of Human Resources, Governance, Ethics and Compliance, Cybersecurity, Environment Health and Safety, Risk Management, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain, led by Adriana Roccaro from the Global Stakeholder Management and Sustainability Team."
