Created in 2012, our six Strategic Business Units (SBUs) have been successful in driving operational improvements, improving service to our customers and strengthening relationships with our stakeholders. Our SBU leadership teams have been an important part of this success. I am announcing some SBU leadership changes in our Brazil and Europe SBUs.
After leading our businesses in Brazil for the last nine years, Britaldo Soares will be stepping down from his role as the Brazil SBU President to become Chairman of the Board of Directors of AES Tietê, Eletropaulo and AES Sul in Brazil. I am pleased to announce Julian Nebreda, who currently serves as the SBU President for Europe, will be the new SBU President of Brazil and Mark Green, who is the SBU COO for Europe, will be stepping up as the new SBU President for Europe.
