US SBU participates in North American emergency preparedness exercise
More than 100 AES people from the US SBU participated in the North American Electric Reliability Corporation's (NERC) GridEx III, a grid-focused operational exercise for utilities across North America. The objective of GridEx is to provide utilities an opportunity to demonstrate how they would respond to simulated coordinated cyber and physical security threats and indents. In doing so, utilities can identify lessons learned to improve communications and their overall emergency preparedness plan. Months in the making, GridEx had active participation from more than 320 organizations in North America.
