CYBERSECURITY
Monthly Cybersecurity Message

October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month in the US. At AES, we believe that cybersecurity awareness is something we should do every month. Cybersecurity is an issue of safety that starts with our people -- we must put safety first when leveraging the power of the Internet, both at work and at home. In recognition of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, I ask that you fully review your copy of the AES Cyber Ninja Guide. The AES Cyber Ninja Guide provides a comprehensive set of guidelines designed to educate, enable and empower our people and contractors to play an active role in protecting AES, ourselves and our families from the growing risks of being connected. Give yourself a refresher on the behaviors highlighted in the Guide to help keep AES safe and secure.

US SBU celebrates AES Values Day 2015

Our Values are at the very core of our ability to improve lives, execute on our strategy and be the best world-class company in the industry. With this year's theme of Energized by Our Values, sites across the US SBU celebrated Values Day by recognizing how our people exhibit our Values in their daily lives. Here are some of the different ways US SBU people celebrated the day:
ALWAYS ON FOR SAFETY
Ko de Jonge is Always On for Safety

Ko is a Mechanical Technician with the Maintenance Team at AES Elsta, a gas generation plant located in the Netherlands and part of the Europe SBU. During his 10 years with AES, Ko has proven his commitment to safety. His actions are aligned with what he says and the way he behaves reflects AES' strong safety culture. As a result of his desire to know more about how to stay safe, he attended specialized safety trainings. He integrates safety into his daily activities, making it actionable and applicable to daily work. Ko has a holistic view of AES operations, in which safety is connected to health and the environment. He works every day to integrate these three areas, looking out for his own safety but also for his peers' safety, both AES people and contractors.
