Greetings!
Every two years, we recognize and celebrate our best innovations through the AES Innovation Congress. At this year's Congress, 61 projects were selected by representatives from each SBU from over 645 abstracts and 241 white papers submitted. Safety Leadership Message from Bernerd Da Santos
Safety is our first value at AES. It should come before everything we do both on the job and off. I am saddened to inform you that on Sunday, July 26, two AES Eletropaulo operational contractors were fatally injured and a third suffered severe injuries as the result of a vehicle incident on a public roadway in Serra da Cantareira, Brazil. The crew had completed their daily work and was returning to the base. As they were driving downhill, the crew's aerial basket truck veered to the right onto a sloped bank at the side of the road, overturned and slid into concrete barriers. Two of the contractors died and the third suffered two broken knees and is in the hospital. His condition is being closely monitored.
