Resourcing for growth
Company Confidential

Greetings!

Last week, we participated in CIC's divestment of its remaining shares of AES. CIC sold a total of approximately 60 million shares, with AES purchasing 20 million and the remaining 40 million being sold to the market. AES' participation in this transaction was in line with our stated expectation to utilize at least $300 million of our current share repurchase authorization of $400 million. This transaction has been well-received by our analysts and investors. For more information about this transaction, read the press release here

AES ranks as a top company in Northern Ireland

AES UK and Ireland was ranked as the number three company on Belfast Telegraph's Top 100 Companies in Northern Ireland in 2015 list. Our performance was driven by two key drivers: excellent operational performance and favorable commodity prices for Kilroot. AES' entry in the national newspaper's annual list emphasizes our investment in the economy of Northern Ireland, our current energy efficiency program and environmental upgrades to our two AES plants and the installation of the largest battery energy storage system in the UK at Kilroot. As the largest electricity generator in Northern Ireland, AES has an important role to play in helping to enhance the security of supply, support the achievement of decarbonization targets and create value for customers.
