Andrés Gluski discusses innovation in Brazil

Andrés Gluski, AES President and CEO, recently participated in a panel sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) where he discussed AES' history of innovation in Brazil. The panel of senior leaders in technology, energy, engineering and design discussed transformative innovations with the potential of changing how we live and work, while asking how more companies can innovate to solve today's most important challenges. Andrés discussed our presence in Brazil and noted how AES Brazil applies innovative solutions to solve customers' needs. AES Brazil has provided access to electricity and clean water, and has a record of applying high-tech innovations to their processes. Those innovations are replicated at other businesses around the world, and innovative ideas are brought from other businesses to Brazil.

We define business growth as successful advancements in the following four areas: platform expansions, adjacencies, partnerships and performance excellence. We are constructing more MW than we ever have in our history, adding innovative adjacencies to our platform, developing new partnerships and running the business better than anyone else. Now is the time to think about how to successfully execute these advancements and identify additional growth opportunities within the following areas.

AES Jordan, part of the Europe SBU, ensured their local community had access to healthcare by sponsoring a free medical day for over 1,000 residents of Amman. AES Jordan's Medical Day consisted of free medical consultations and routine medical assessments. Over 350 male, 500 female and 150 children received medical attention.
