AES Eletropaulo receives Transparency Award 


AES Eletropaulo, a utility business in the Brazil Strategic Business Unit (SBU), was recently award the Anefac Transparency Trophy, from the Brazilian National Association of the Finance, Management and Accounting Executives. The annual award recognizes companies with the best accounting practices and best quality and transparency in information disclosed to the market. This award acknowledges Eletropaulo's commitment to governance and transparency.

"Increase available power": Guillermo Paponi's take on implementing fogging in the Andes SBU


Leveraging our electricity platforms to provide energy solutions in the markets we serve is critical to AES' long term success. One way to leverage our platforms is through the implementation of enhancements such as fogging. In July 2013, Guillermo Paponi, plant manager at AES Parana a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant in San Nicolás, Argentina, along with a multidisciplinary team, installed fogging technology to increase energy capacity at the plant.

AES Palm Springs hosts United States Secretary of the Interior 

 

AES Palm Springs, a wind generation business in the US Strategic Business Unit (SBU), hosted U.S. Secretary of the Interior, Sally Jewell, last week who announced a plan to manage both conservation and renewable energy production on more than 22 million acres in California as part of a government effort to promote clean energy production.

Sudhakar Swain is Always On for Safety

 

Sudhakar Swain is Always On for Safety. He believes in his personal safety on and off the job, and encourages others to do the same.  As an Operations Manager at OPGC in India, part of the Asia SBU, he is known by his team members as the "action person" because he does not leave safety issues open. He quickly takes care of any identified safety issues or concerns that are raised and is constantly looking for proactive ways to improve local safety systems.
