The CIO Top 100 award recognizes companies that use IT in innovative ways to deliver competitive advantage to their organizations and enable growth. AES Brazil was recognized for AES Eletropaulo's call center improvement project.

IPL plans to stop burning coal at Harding Street Generation Station in 2016


Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL), part of the US Strategic Business Unit (SBU), will file plans with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) to repower Unit 7 at Harding Street Generation Station (HSS) from coal-fired to natural gas in 2016. The 83-year-old plant is located on the southwest side of Indianapolis, Indiana in the US.
