Huntington Beach earns Excellence in Education honor

 

AES Huntington Beach, part of the US Strategic Business Unit (SBU), received the Excellence in Education Award from the Huntington Beach Education Foundation (HBEF). An independent, nonprofit organization operated by local volunteers, the HBEF focuses on developing and expanding partnerships among the business, parent and educational communities to promote excellence in Huntington Beach students' behavior, attitudes and achievements.
 

OPGC recognized for outstanding performance 

 

At AES, our Values are foundational. One of our five shared Values is Strive for Excellence, which means we strive to be the best in all we do and perform at world-class levels. Our people working at Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC), part of the Asia Strategic Business Unit (SBU) were recognized for their outstanding operational performance recently. India's Central Electric Authority awarded OPGC a first place in the State sector and 10th place overall in India for Plant Load Factor (PLF) for its performance in first quarter 2014.
