AES Eletropaulo, a utility business in the Brazil Strategic Business Unit (SBU), recently completed the ISO9001:2008 (Quality Management System) certification audit, which resulted in the maintenance of the company's certificate with zero nonconformities.

Vedyakin Dmitriy Borisovich is Always On for Safety

 

Dmitriy is an Operational Shop Leader at Ust-Kamenogorsk Hydro Power Plant, in Kazakhstan, part of the Europe, Middle East and Africa Strategic Business Unit (EMEA SBU). During the course of his more than 24 years at the plant, Dmitriy has gained recognition and trust of his peers at the plant.  He is recognized as a person who shows commitment to AES Values, and especially to putting safety first.

Cynthia Pantonal, Director of the AES Philippines Foundation, continues to implement CSR projects in the Zambales region around the Masinloc power plant, part of the Asia Strategic Business Unit (SBU). Cynthia and the AES Philippines Foundation not only champion the CSR initiatives in the local communities but also provide an interface with some of the regions most valued customers.

AES Arlington brings our Values from words to action with Day of Service
 
AES people working in the Arlington Office, recently took our values from words to action, by partnering with A Wider Circle to help local families transitioning out of shelters, escaping domestic violence, or otherwise living without basic need items. As part of their Values Day commitments, nearly 80 AES people and their families joined together in afternoon focused on giving back.

AES Kazakhstan Turbine 12 Construction Project travels to China 

 

Last December, AES Kazakhstan, part the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) announced plans to build a new 120 MW turbine at Ust-Kamenogorsk. A delegation of AES Kazakhstan people recently completed a trip to China to meet with SEPCO-1, the project's partner for engineering and construction and other Chinese subcontractors.
