Omar Durán lives our Values every day
Omar Durán , the IT Infrastructure leader for MCAC AES Dominicana, displayed the highest level of integrity when he received a cash reimbursement equivalent to USD $4,250 when he should have received Dominican pesos. As soon as Omar received the reimbursement and realized the large difference in the amount of money received, Omar went directly to the office of the HR director to report the error and return the money to AES. After reviewing the payment order and verifying the error in the transaction, HR notified the Finance department requesting the appropriate reimbursement.

AES Panama joins forces with communities for the National Month of the Environment and Natural Resources
Wherever AES locates or operates a business-whether it is power generation, a utility or a renewable energy initiative-we seek to create deep, meaningful relationships with the communities we serve. Our people in Panama are doing just that, over 50 AES people, relatives, contractors and community members, collected more than two tons of solid waste off the streets of La Nicora, near AES Panama's Bayano hydroelectric plant, as part of the celebrations of the Month of the Environment and Natural Resources, celebrated nationally every June in the Republic of Panama.
