AES Stayed Always On for Safety on Safety Day 2014
Every year, we dedicate time on Safety Day to recognize our first value, safety. This year we committed to being Always On for Safety; on the job, at home, and in our communities. AES people and contractors stopped work and said "I'm Always On for Safety" in many languages, in various ways, in different time zones and diverse locations.
In his COO message sent on Safety Day, Andy Vesey explained being Always On for Safety, "When you're Always On, you're engaged in what you're doing and paying careful attention to the details. You approach each task as if you're completing it for the first time, being cautious and never becoming complacent."
Our thousands of people and contractors around the world stayed Always On for Safety by watching AES' Safety Day video and listening to a presentation. Local leaders delivered safety messages to their people and developed internal and external activities to celebrate AES' first value. |
