Sustainability is integrated into how we work at AES and becoming recognized as a sustainable company is one of our strategic objectives. To further advance our commitment, AES published its first Sustainability Report. We've always been dedicated to improving lives in the communities in which we operate by being a responsible corporate citizen. This report summarizes our efforts and performance already in place and helps our stakeholders understand how we manage important economic, social and environmental issues.

Dayton Power and Light President Derek A. Porter Presented the Dave Hobson Region Advocate Award

Each year during the Dayton Region Community Leader Fly-In which takes place in Washington D.C., the Dave Hobson Region Advocate Award is presented to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the Dayton area. This year, the award was presented to DP&L's President and CEO Derek A. Porter of the US Strategic Business Unit (SBU) - honored for his advocacy efforts and commitment to the growth and prosperity of the Region.

Amman East recognized as a model plant by POWER Guidebook

Amman East, an AES generation business in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) was included in this year's POWER Guidebook. Following their win as a Top Power Plant by POWER Magazine in 2013, the plant was also included in the 2014 guidebook, signifying Amman East is a model plant from which other plants can learn. Our plant, and our people, received this recognition for its path-breaking achievement as Jordan's first independent power plant, and for its outstanding safety record.
