In this month's safety message, Andy shares a story from a recent incident at one of our sites and discuss how always having a safety mindset and taking the necessary actions to take care of yourself and the people around you, helped save the life an AES person. For you to have a safety mindset means you are thinking about your safety and the safety of those around you at all times. It's not something you can turn off when you leave work.

PARTNERING WITH THE PLANET

AES Tietę sells carbon credits to the World Bank

AES Tietę received US $430,000 for the sale of carbon credits to the World Bank, thanks to a reforestation project on the margins of the reservoirs of its hydropower plants. The carbon credits are counted based on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, determined after the audit on the reforestations developed. Reforestation helps remove carbon gas from the atmosphere - carbon gas is responsible for the causing the greenhouse effect.
