AES Kazakhstan Recognized for Its Employer Brand
AES Kazakhstan was ranked third among international companies at the first "HR Brand Kazakhstan - 2013" ceremony, which took place on October 17, in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
"HR Brand" is an independent annual award given to companies for enhancing their reputation as an employer. The award recognizes the company's successful people practices from the point of view of experts and clients, colleagues and jobseekers. The HR Brand has been awarded in Russia and Ukraine for six years, and 2013 marks the first year of its presentation in Kazakhstan.

Stop Work Authority in Action
At AES, we put safety first for our people, our contractors and the communities we serve. Each AES person and contractor has the right and obligation to use their Stop Work Authority as soon as they identify an action or condition they believe to be unsafe. We appreciate it when our people use their Stop Work Authority to protect themselves and the people around them. Earlier this month people at Dayton Power & Light (DPL), a utility business in our US Strategic Business Unit, used their stop work authority to keep their coworkers safe.
